We selected this hotel as we had stayed there 4 years earlier. We were disappointed on this occasion because although we were a couple staying they only provided facilities for a single guest, only one bath towel and one hand towel. Also only small miniture toiletries for one person. The bathroom basin was slow in draining. The water pressure was not strong enough to allow the over the bath shower to work and finally we were not able to open the french window for fresh air. The only good point was that the bed was comfortable.

I was staying elsewhere, but pleased to find non-residents here were welcome for breakfast. A very friendly welcome, and a distinctively-decorated elegant room to eat in. The breakfast was very good, though the bacon seemed a little tougher than average. I was charged a little more than I thought I had been quoted, but I may have misunderstoood and it was still reasonable.

A disabled room was Booked but not available When arrived ground floor room was given shower over BATH .NO GOOD TO DISABLED PERSONS . Staff rudeness to people no one in reception after about 6 to 6.30 pm Will not stay again. We where charged £42 for 2 small breakfast and a childs cooked breakfast plus a bowl of cearal. When price challenged was told no discount for 4 yr old, and cearal plus milk and toast cost £8.99, small breakfast £10.99. As we walked away , I said disgusting that a child breakfast cost that much, we heard the staff laughing at us. G Palmers

We were there for a christening and I didn't stay in person but my parents did I requested a disabled room for them but they were given a downstairs room as none were available. My niece was there with a 4 year old daughter who was charged £8-99 for her breakfast of toast and a bowl of rice crispies😳 after querying this my mother and niece walked away and heard the staff laughing. After the christening we tidied up the rubbish into bags for the bins and my sister was asked if we were taking the rubbish with us. She replied that she would if they wanted, but as they charged £45 an hour for the room maybe they could tell her where the bins were ...but they said the would get housekeeping to do it .... Very poor business management and attitude

Worst Hotel and Dinning Experience EVER! Booked the Elms Hotel for a business trip and it was a disaster. I’ve travelled all over the world on business and this is the worst experience and service I’ve ever had. Booked a double room and was put in the “Stables” area which is like a container and nothing like the images. The bed was like a bag of concrete and no typical accessories where available such as hairdryer etc. Went for breakfast one morning and it took 25 minutes to arrive from when ordered meaning I was late for work. Only one person working at the desk and seemed to do everything! Trying to check out was a nightmare! I was in the “stables” external to the main hotel entrance so trying to gain access for breakfast (which was already booked similar to the shambles the previous day) the door was locked with buzzer not working. I knocked on the door and windows for 10 minutes with no answer from any staff. Eventually I had to phone the hotel to let me in and hand the room key back. A very rude member of staff (who also served breakfast and checked me in) just asked me to pop the key through the letter box when I had booked breakfast! I told him to leave breakfast as I was late for work and wanted an invoice. He then swore at me telling me I had to pay for breakfast even though it was unavailable for that morning! I left furious with no invoice and no breakfast and he was following me into the car park. The most awful hotel experience and please avoid at all costs!!!

Our trip to London was unexpectedly interrupted when our train was canceled midway, forcing us to find a place to stay. The hospitality stood out. The restaurant served incredible food, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The highlight was one of the staff members, who kindly drove us to the train station the next morning. What could have been a stressful night turned into a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
