Came here for afternoon tea on Thursday 24th July. I spoke to Hannah initially to book, she was lovely, extremely proficient in taking our details and noting our dietary requirements. When we arrived we were greeted by Nikki who showed us to our table immediately, no waiting around which was brilliant. The afternoon tea was superb, compliments to the chef. Nikki was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive, very welcoming, she looked after us from the moment we arrived. We couldn’t finish all the food and Nikki suggested we have it wrapped and take it home, which we accepted and the take home bag was prepared and handed to us within minutes. We would highly recommend coming here , excellent service, beautiful place, fantastic food.

We have just had the Sunday lunch sharing platter and it was excellent, beautifully presented and very generous portions of meat as well as all the usual Sunday lunch accompaniments. The service was excellent all in all a wonderful relaxed lunch in beautiful surroundings. We look forward our next visit.

I had a really good sleep in a comfortable bed and lovely room. Breakfast was delicious. I shall return and next time use the Spa facility.

A fabulous stay, in an interesting and beautiful old building. The staff were super friendly, with a true northern warmth. The room was very comfortable and I slept well. The showers were hot, and water was plentiful. The food was amazing, with large portions, freshly cooked, and presented well. The staff, again, were incredibly attentive and very friendly. A fabulous stay, I challenging conditions, being the hottest day of 2025 so far, about 35°, but no standards slipped at all. Certainly a hotel to revist if I'm in the area again. Thank you all, so much, to all the team that work so hard to make sure the stay was brilliant.

This is an excellant Hotel with plenty of things to do around the area. Retford, Bawtry, Wild life Park and also many super places to eat if you would want soewhere different to Ye Olde Bell.

Lovely countryside hotel & spa. We went for the twilight spa package - the spa is amazing! We had a room in the main hotel - tucked away at the very top which was lovely as mean we couldn't hear the music from the function room. But it was quite warm up there, even with a fan & windows. The food in the hotel & spa was excellent. Everyone was really lovely & helpful. Definitely will be returning.

We had an overnight stay plus twilight spa which was amazing! It was so relaxing. Not as busy this time which was great! We stayed in a lovely room in the main hotel! All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing! It’s a bit pricey but it’s a nice place to go for a treat!

The hotel always offer great food, a good atmosphere and excellent staff. I always look forward to staying at Ye Olde Bell. The staff are always polite and efficient and always have time for a chat which makes my stays all the more enjoyable. The breakfasts are excellent and always freshly cooked juts as I like it
