I was in Reno for the American Blind Bowling National Tournament. I was comped this room by American Airlines after they cancelled my flight. The hotel is clean and nice. Room was clean and looked good. My biggest issue with this place was that front desk lady. She was hateful. She was cussing and complaining about hos busy they were. There was a young man also up front, but did not appear to be working. Both were cussing the whole time I was there. When I checked out, I left my white cane on the counter and proceeded otuside. The morning front desk guy put it on the far end of the counter. He did not even bring it out to me. When I realized what I had done, I went back in and he gave it to me. I was very upset about the lack of care. Overall, this is a nice place to stay. Just be ready for rude people and profanity.

Hotel was convenient to the Highway and easy to get to. Establishment was clean and fresh. Our room was clean, quiet, and confortable. Parking was on the tight side and there were only 3 handicapped spots that I observed. On the not so great side, staff was next to impossible to locate. THe front desk was a ghost town most of the time, The very small morning coffee and snack operation was a small cart locatedt next to the front door. If you did not get there withing 30 minutes of it opening, better luck next time. For the cost, this was not a good value and I could not reccomend it as there was really no offset for the extra cost.

The bed was comfortable and the location was convenient. That said, we reserved this room because it included a kitchenette to cook meals to save a little money. The room did not include any cookware, glasses, cups, nor utensils. We were told we needed to get what we needed from the front desk. However, all they had were two coffee cups. The room did not have a coffee maker either. We would not recommend this place if your intention is to stay for a week or longer and have a kitchen. It’s really just a hotel room. The front desk guy, Kyle, was very nice and apologetic though.

Where to even begin. Arrive as scheduled to check in Friday; called prior to going as I was told online / third party booking can take time to show up their system. Was confirmed it did. Front desk agent could not process my payment (my card had already been charged ) ; she told me she would figured it out and I waited in my car for four hours. Four hours and she did not come out to update me once. Finally said she could not get me into a room that night. I slept in my car in the cold. I was exhausted, ill and hysterical. Friend picked me up after her graveyard shift as chdck in next day was not until 3. She took me to her house to get some real sleep and the next day we call again, we’re told reservation is all set. Uber back there and agent at front desk is able to efficiently check me in. Thank god. I think I slept the entire day and night. Same with Sunday as well and I was enjoying the bliss so much and being able to have a quiet place to stay…not quite. around 6 AM Monday the fire alarm for the hotel goes off…for hours. Was never informed why this occurred actually. No one on site knew how to turn off the alarm. It was horrific and traumatizing. It was shut off hours later and I went back to sleep. The front desk agent working during the alarm crisis had no idea what to do until the alarm company was able to come out hours later. The agent who came on shift was kind and comped me another night at the hotel which I immediately took her up on. Everything went went that day/night ( I mainly slept as I was sick), and I checked out the next day. I realized that I left several items in my hotel room and I have called their location over 27 times now and not one employee apparently can answer the phone. I am sure it is because they can see it is me from their phones and want nothing to do with me staying there. I have spoken with guest services and corporate and no one has an answer. Meanwhile, I am still repeatedly calling South Meadows Parkway Reno Extended Stay attempting to retrieve my belongings. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, rudest employees of any hotel I have stayed at in Reno, and outright embarrassing to this company. The entire staff needs to attend a training session regarding how to and how not to treat a guest. I suppose I’ll keep calling them over and over again, but likely will have to drive across town to hunt down an employee in person- they’ll likely all be hiding when they see me walk in the door. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

This is my fourth week here and they have yet to clean my room. I was here for a week and left for a week so I understand not being cleaned the first week. I am on my third week here and still not cleaning. Upon my return I had one week and than was extended a week. Since this required me to check out and back in again I was told I would have to vacate ( remove all of my belongings) in order to have it cleaned. When I requested clean sheets so I could change the bedding myself I took 3 trips and I still did not have the right size of sheets I finally gave up and used what I could. I have now been here over a week and still no room cleaning. The vacuum I borrowed during my first stay would turn off every 2 min. I was told that was the best they had. Management was abrasive, equipment and supplies in poor condition The recliner is broken ( I have not bothered to complain) do not want to move room and has been clawed up by what I believe is a cat. The kitchen ware is a joke 2 serrated stake knifes, two spoons, two forks, dishrack, cutting board, two plates, two glasses to mugs, one sauce pan, one fry pan one small kitchen towel. No pancake turner no knife that could actually cut anything no spoon larger than the teaspoons. The continental breakfast is muffins and granola bars and coffee. I cannot rate the coffee since I do not drink coffee but the muffins were regular size and tasted stale unless warmed in micro.
