Really great hotel. Our experience was marvelous. The room is very spacious and clean, the view is great, the hotel is walking distance to most tourist attractions (Yu Garden, the Bund, East Nanjing Rd), but what sets it apart as the hotel that I want to come back to for my next trip in Shanghai are the staff. From the moment we checked in until when we checked out, the staff were all very warm and welcoming and really made sure we were comfortable and all our needs are attended. Special shout out to the receptionist Hannie who even added us in Wechat and answered our questions regarding where to go to shop, to eat, etc. She really made sure we had a pleasant experience. I'd love to be back soon and stay at this hotel again. ❤️ The picture is the view from our room.

The 25th-floor lobby was impressive with powerful air conditioning. However, a faint sour odor lingered in the air. The elevators to the upper floors were very smooth but lacked air conditioning.

Breakfast on the 26th floor was split into Chinese and Western sections. The food stations were quite spread out. The Western section had good AC, but the Chinese section was uncomfortably hot due to insufficient cooling.

We stayed in room 4901. The view was excellent, but the bedding was very ordinary, and there was noticeable dust.

The main issues were:
1. The air conditioner was incredibly noisy.
2. Its cooling performance was completely inadequate. I'm unsure if this was due to a fixed thermostat setting or a system restriction, but I woke up twice during the night because of the heat. (We called maintenance around 2 AM, and after some adjustment, it was slightly better... A fan was requested and delivered around 3 AM). This is how my child and I ended up enduring a noisy and hot stay in what's supposedly a five-star hotel.

Regarding service, despite making several calls during the night, there was no follow-up from staff whatsoever. This lack of proactivity and communication feels quite outdated in today's hospitality industry, indicating a clear lack of handover between shifts.

An Unforgettable Shanghai Trip: A Flawless Experience Beyond Expectations

I stayed at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel for two nights, opting for a King Room, and the overall experience was simply flawless! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was immediately captivated by the hotel's elegant ambiance and thoughtful service. The front desk staff were warm and incredibly helpful, efficiently handling my check-in while also providing a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities, making me instantly feel at home.

The room was spacious and bright, and the king-sized bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully restful sleep every night. The attention to detail was evident everywhere: a spotless bathroom, high-quality toiletries, fast and stable Wi-Fi, and a captivating city view from the window – all demonstrating the hotel's commitment to guest comfort. What truly impressed me was the excellent soundproofing of the room. Even though it's located in bustling Pudong, I could still enjoy a perfectly peaceful private space.

The hotel's breakfast buffet was extensive and varied, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western dishes. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors exceptional, providing the perfect energy boost for the day ahead. The Executive Lounge service was equally impressive. During the evening Happy Hour, the food selections were exquisite, the bartenders were skilled, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.

The location was absolutely superb – within walking distance of the subway station and surrounded by shopping districts and numerous restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Every time I entered or left, the concierge staff would always greet me with a smile and proactively offer assistance. This level of attentive care made me feel truly valued and respected.

I was truly sad to leave. This stay not only met all my expectations but far exceeded them. The Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel will undoubtedly be my top choice for future visits to Shanghai. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all travelers seeking quality and exceptional service!

Good size room, Very good facilities (swimming pool, sauna, gym etc....), very good breakfast, professional and friendly staff. This hotel is a bit far from Shanghai downtown, it takes around 30 to 40 minutes to the Bund by taxi. There is a very nice shopping mall at 15 minutes walking distance. The TV was lacking international channel (only CNN and CNA available).

Really love how the staff were so attentive and helpful during our stay. The hotel has good facilities especially the gym room. Counter staffs were great and facilitated our check in and check out process so smoothly. Kudos to them and the cleaning ladies who made our holiday a pleasant one.

It was good to stay again. Parking was convenient and the car was picked up in time. Basically, the hotel can meet all the conditions. I will stay here again next time. It is very convenient to stay here if you come to Flushing.

The most important thing to remind you is that the hotel is located in Harlem, which is said to be a black community. You can check the security situation in the area online. I don't mean to discriminate against black people here. But the first night I arrived was around 7pm on the weekend. After getting off the bus, I felt that there were many people around the hotel and it was quite chaotic. The hotel reception was on the 5th floor. After checking the Internet in the room, I felt that I lived in the wrong place. I traveled by UBER in the next few days and didn't dare to take the subway. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. It's just that there are many black people outside the hotel, and beggars occasionally approached me. I didn't encounter any unpleasant things around the hotel.

After reading the comments, I was a little hesitant at first, but it seems that the little horse is crossing the river! The hotel room, location, and sanitation are all good, so I will choose this place again if I come back in the future. After all, it is a good price-performance hotel, and it is very convenient to travel. The noise depends on everyone's acceptance. I don't think it will affect sleep Of course, you can tell the front desk to choose a higher floor when you check in. There is also a $30 fee mentioned by many people. If it is included in the reservation, then make it clear to the front desk that the fee included in our destination tax can be paid. Spend at the bar and exchange for items such as Central Park ride tickets! The Evian water in the room has never been used, so be sure to check the bill when you check out! In short, communication is really important when you go out‼ ️The small sharing hopes to help everyone travel! As a Marriott member, the hotel provides free breakfast and free drinks every morning. The breakfast is average but free, nothing to complain about. The hotel is in a good location and is within walking distance of the Empire State Building. It is worth mentioning that when we checked out, we had to go to LGA LaGuardia Airport. The car the hotel helped us call was big and new, the driver was very nice, and the price was not more expensive than taking Lyft. Thank you very much

The location is OK, close to Chelsea, or just in Chelsea. The view is good, with a night view of Manhattan. The room is also quite big. Walk around for a few minutes and you will be at the famous gallery of Chelsea, which is also close to the highline. It depends on where you want to go. All in all, it's good, I like it.

The suite was large and clean but the heating didn’t work so they brought us a portable electric heater. 

The lounge was not accessible during our stay and they didn’t warn us before booking the club room with lounge access. They offered to have the club lounge service (food and drinks) in the bar downstairs at the lobby entrance but it’s very uncomfortable because you are in the entry hall and gets very cold too

The pool and breakfast were splendid though!

Also there was no body milk in the room and we had to ask for body gel because it was already finished when we arrived to the room…

The hotel is conveniently located near Shuangjing subway station, with R&F Centre Mall and Le City Centre Mall right next door. It offers easy access to Subway Lines 7 and 10, and is just one subway stop from Guomao. It has more of a business-oriented vibe, so you don't typically see many families with children. The hotel's public areas are well-maintained and still look quite new. Check-in takes place on the fourth floor. The room was very clean, comfortably decorated, and spacious. For breakfast, the Jianbing Guozi and Eggs Benedict were delicious.

It was convenient to visit the nearby Science Park.
