We booked a 4 night stay. The room was small and dark, not helped by the only light at one end of the room not working. We reported it 3 times before it was replaced with another light that didn’t work. We were left without a towel one day, discovered this in the morning, went to ring reception for a towel, phone didn’t work. It was a nice quiet room but too dark. Very little natural light. Also small. The photos on the website flatter the rooms, like a lot do. But you wouldn’t get your luggage past the bed, you have to carry it over the bed. Bed was comfortable and a queen as per the description, but just fits in the room.
The restaurant was very good, the bathroom was clean and worked, but the room is clearly unloved (safe didn’t work either until we were given the over ride key). Had the feel of a room that was used as spares for other rooms.
We were offered a change of room after 3 days and the failed light replacement but choose not to move for our last night. The door for the room next to us looked very narrow too. So looks like small is a feature. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, tried to get stuff done, it just didn’t happen.
