Altes Post was one of the nicest hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, friendly owners and staff. Our room had all the amenities we needed and there is also an honour fridge in the breakfast room for beverages. We had booked dinner at their other hotel-restaurant Schöne Aussicht, and the mother of the owner drove us there. (Delicious dinner and beautiful sunset ensued.) The breakfast was amazing and excellent value - rolls, toast, meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, and more. We were the only guests at breakfast on the Monday morning we stayed ,and our own table was set full of deliciousness. We were in Reichenbach to work on family history and can also recommend the excellent town archive and its archivist. We would definitely recommend a stay in Altes Posteck. P.S. Extra tip, there is an excellent deli-bakery a few steps away down the street, perfect for packed lunches and "hotel picnic dinners", Bäckerei & Konditorei Willy Lenk.

Lovely , well appointed hotel. Lots of space to spread out. Owner was so helpful with our questions in English. Breakfast was exceptional and cozy❤️. Highly recommend to travelers of any kind. Very near large market area. Found the courthouse nearby to research ancestors!

Das Hotel "Altes Posteck" besteht seit mehr als 20 Jahren in Reichenbach im Vogtland (Sachsen) und wird durch das Betreiber-Ehepaar "Sommer" familiär geführt. Dieses Hotel war aufgrund einer Dienstreise vor Ort und wurde durch meinen Chef ausgesucht. Check-In ab 15 Uhr Check-Out bis 12 Uhr 24-Stunden Rezeption Zentrale ruhige Lage im Stadtkern von Reichenbach im Vogtland - zum Bahnhof sind es ca. 500 Meter. Wer mit dem Auto anreist ... kostenlose Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel vorhanden ... Reservierung nicht erforderlich ... kostenfrei. Es gibt drei Zimmerkategorien ... Einzel-/Doppelzimmer, Studios & Appartments. Ich hatte Zimmer Nr. 7 (Einzelzimmer im 3. OG, unterm Dach) - persönlich war mir das Zimmer etwas zu klein. Das Zimmer war mit Flachbild-TV ausgestattet, Wasserkocher, Teppich & Bad mit Dusche. ＞ Rustikale Zimmereinrichtung, persönlich hat der Teppich mir nicht gefallen, auf meinem Bett lag zudem ein grünes "Fell-Teil", welches ebenfalls nicht mein Geschmack war. Kostenloses W-LAN vorhanden. Service sehr freundlich und nett, ich wurde seitens des Besitzers gefragt, ob ich für das Abendessen bereits ein Restaurant in Aussicht habe - der Chef hat mir daraufhin ein Restaurant im Ort empfohlen, mit Anruf ob auch geöffnet. Sehr gutes reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet von 6 -11 Uhr, mit frischen Brötchen, verschiedenen selbstgemachten Marmeladen, gut schmeckendem Kaffee und auf Wunsch auch frisches selbstgemachtes Rühr- und Spiegelei. Desweiteren gibt es auch typische Speisen aus dem Vogtland & hausgemachter Kuchen. Die Übernachtung betrug 90,- € für ein Einzelzimmer - ich persönlich empfand diesen Preis für die hiesige Lage als etwas zu hoch. Trotzdem kann ich dieses Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und ganz besonders der Service durch die Betreiber war sehr sehr gut.
