We are not calling this house a farmhouse just because it's trendy. It's likely a little historic piece of Sussex County. Property records indicate there was nothing but a lot here until the 1970's. Before then, the lot and acres around it changed owners many times, including having been owned by people named Truitt and Martin. The same year the house appeared on property records, a development across Route 24 was developed. We have a hunch this house was moved from there to its present location. We do not know where it came from, or precisely how old it is, but we can see from the construction it is probably at least 100 years old.
