We were greeted very courteously and the service was also outstanding. It really couldn't be better. If we come to Regensburg again, we will definitely come back. Other things to note: there is an underground car park and other parking options, including charging stations for electric cars. There is a lift, seating (particularly interesting for smokers) outside, everything is immaculately clean and stylishly furnished. I can only recommend it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍 Directly opposite is an excellent trattoria - Trattoria Sorano: table reservation recommended -

Let's not beat around the bush: We didn't feel at home at the Hotel Luis. The random assortment of discarded furnishings is neither vintage nor stylish. We were too scared to walk barefoot on the – presumably – original 1970s brown carpet tiles. The limited care for the condition of the rooms was evident in some amateurish touch-ups on the walls (the wrong shade of brown). The messages in English, written on often-scuffed paper, scattered throughout the hotel were probably meant to sound cool ("U-S-A, U-S-A"), but for us, in this form, they only underscored the impression of a lack of love ("who cares, bro?"). The bathroom in our room was in comparatively good condition. Unfortunately, the mirror above the sink is too low for anyone over 165 cm tall. Upon entering the hotel, a huge wall notice clearly informs you that there are no closets in the rooms and that this restriction on use is intentional. We suspect religious reasons. We were hesitant to ask whether we were allowed to bring our own wardrobe to our room because of the very clear notice on the wall at the entrance. Since our room didn't have a dresser or shelves, we were forced to live out of our suitcases at the Hotel Luis. A notice about this limited room usability on the hotel's website would certainly be of interest to some guests...we certainly wouldn't have booked. The rather lax treatment of strangers at the reception desk—in other hotels, they're called guests and treated as such—became apparent to us when, after we waited 10 minutes for her phone call to end, the receptionist preferred to help another employee find his missing eggs (poor man) rather than inquire about our request. Breakfast consisted of simple sausage, cheese, and yogurt. And other delicacies that we didn't even try. Together with the coffee from the pump, that came to 16 euros per person. Our hope that the coffee from the coffee machine behind the counter would be tastier than that from the pump carafe was unfortunately in vain. Speaking of pump carafes: You can't get more vintage than this; we last had one in a hotel 20 years ago. The 15 minutes from Hotel Luis to Regensburg's city center are fine in themselves. However, there are other accommodations in the same price range from which you can get to the city center in 1 or 2 minutes. Otherwise, you may or may not like the location of Hotel Luis directly on a main road. We didn't have a problem with it overnight. If we were to rate Hotel Luis according to hotel standards, taking into account the room rate we paid, we would give it a 1-star rating. However, since, compared to Jug

This was my third time here. It was always so nice, and Luis had already become my favorite hotel. We were already planning our next visit. The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was great! The rooms were nice, the beds comfortable, and the linens were great. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience. Or at least, it left a bad taste in our mouths. And we don't want to accuse anyone of anything—I just wanted to make that clear. We packed our bag and went to breakfast, then checked out straight away. My husband put his new Apple charging cable on the bed and thought, "white on white." And as expected, as we were driving home, it came to mind: The charging cable! I checked my travel bag at home. The cable wasn't there. I informed the hotel and asked. The cable wasn't found during the cleaning. Hmmm... What a shame! Even though we're responsible for our things, we still find this kind of strange. We bought a new charging cable. It's a real shame for us, because we won't be coming back. But Luis will be able to cope – there are many overnight guests in Regensburg.
