Super 8 Red Lake was built new in 2012 and is the only franchise Hotel in Red Lake Ontario. The hotel consists of 65 rooms plus a conference and banquet facility that can accommodate up to 110 people for conferences banquets meetings and gatherings. Red Lake is situated where some of the richest Gold Mines in the world are located Gold Corp being the richest of them all. The beautiful town of Red lake is also the Norseman Floatplane capital of the World. Every year in July the Township puts on a festival in July to celebrate the Norseman Float Planes. Plus if you love the outdoors the Red lake area is a great place to come and enjoy fishing or hunting. We are 5 minutes away from Gold Corp Mine and one minute from the Red lake downtown area. Very welcoming. Arrived late at night and staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and very comfortable. My room had an amazing view of the lake.

Considering it is the only hotel in the area, it's a good, clean hotel with great service. Free breakfast was decent, and there's a Tim Horton's next door that is open 24 hours which is convenient. Front desk staff was very helpful in finding me a corkscrew and box that I needed. The only thing is the construction of the hotel seems to be wood, so sound travels between rooms, like you can even hear the floor squeaking above if someone is walking around in the room above you. But overall, a pleasant stay when visiting this remote area.

Recently in Red Lake in a band playing at a local festival. The rooms were above expectations. Super deep bathtub and plenty of space in the room. The staff were very friendly and the 24 hour coffee was a nice touch. Breakfast was good as well.

Was pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was roomy and comfortable and you even get a nice gratis breakfast. We really couldn’t ask for more. Well done.

We really enjoyed the one bedroom suite! Having a kitchen and living room space is something we really like when travelling and this space was perfect. The balcony with chairs and a side table was a pleasant surprise as well. The free breakfast was good, from 5 am - 10 am which was really great, with all day coffee (excellent coffee), tea and juice!
We will definitely stay there again

A Great Interaction with Super 8 Red Lake Service
We were not able to make our stay, due to the large forest fires northeast of Red Lake. However, the Super 8 Team was kind enough to waive our charges for the 3 rooms we had reserved, due to the severity of the fires. Super 8 Red Lake did not have to do this waiver, as we gave notice the day of the reservation, due to our camp being closed at such short notice. We truly appreciate the consideration provided by Super 8 Red Lake, & will continue to book all our Red Lake stays at this hotel.

Even with the signs posted about bear activity and breaking into vehicles, it would have been nice to have a verbal reminder at check in. Our vehicle got attacked by a bear, obviously because we had groceries for our fishing trip. There needs to be options for bear proof storage. We could have unloaded the truck and taken everything to the room, but that would have been an inconvenience, but not as bad as losing our groceries for the week’s trip.
