If you are looking for a pristine, Hallmark-movie bed and breakfast experience, like some prior reviewers you are likely to be disappointed. Since most of the rooms are now extended stay rentals, the Red Hook Country Inn is not quite a "bed and breakfast" in the classic sense. The common areas are indeed cluttered and a bit run down -- but one can still sit on the porch in the evening and enjoy the breezes and people watching. The beds are comfortable, the rooms eclectic and well supplied, and the owners will always go the extra mile to ensure you have everything you need (Nabil's breakfasts invariably delicious). Most importantly, the inn is ideally located right in the center of town. You can leave your car behind and walk to several excellent restaurants (Flatiron is a standout), shops, and historic buildings and cemeteries. On summer Fridays you can even stroll down to the green to enjoy a free concert. So leave your preconceptions at the door and come enjoy the real Red Hook.

It was the place guest house I have ever stayed. It is difficult to say that it was a guest house, I think it was my second home. She acted like she was our grandma, giving her love, laugh, kindness and generosity. Breakfast cooked by her and her husband Nabil (who is the professional chief) are incredible and delicious. Her breakfasts are like lunch, after her breakfast you will need to eat only a dinner, since she provides so much food for breakfast. Whenever you approach to her, she responds immediately (towel, cleaning, food, help...). We became close friends during 2-week stay, even one family. She even bought a big toy four our son and cooked a free farewell dinner for us, so we had a family talk with her family. It is located in the heart of Red Hook, everything (grocery, cafes, shops and CVS) is so close to her house. I highly recommend to stay only there in Red Hook, if you want to feel the big heart of local people.

We stayed at the inn for our first visit to the Rhinebeck sheep and wool festival. It was an excellent location!! Pat had advised us to eat in Red Hook as it would be less crowded and even made reservations for us! The breakfast was amazing! Homemade quiche and the most delicious eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!! Pat really cares about her guests and works hard to make sure your stay is the best!

Having stayed in many B&B . Inns. Air B&B. This was the most misrepresented!!! Actually the only one we’ve encountered. Nothing like the pictures !!! Not like anywhere we’ve ever stayed. No common area to relax with friends. Part of the reason to choose to stay. Just clutter everywhere. A bar of Dove soap on table in the entry. Soap??!! Breakfasts were absolutely average and worse than any other place visited. Never given a negative review to a B&B before but we all agreed that travelers should be alerted. See previous negative reviews. We wish we had read them.

It took me a while to write this review because I didn’t know what I wanted to say. First the plus, the owner is very nice, our room was clean, towels were lovely and the window shades did the job. However, if you do not like clutter this is not the place for you. There is a lot going on in this Bed and Breakfast. Every nook and cranny of packed. There is a large pile of garbage in the parking lot and this is not a place with a common area to sit in, play cards or just relax. The front porch has so much potential but is dirty and the furniture is so worn out and old. I honestly do not know how this Bed and Breakfast has passed their heath inspections. After catching a glimpse of the kitchen on the way to my bedroom I was horrified. There is a beautiful back yard that you can’t even go into because of all the clutter and trash. The Red Hook Bed and Breakfast can be beautiful if the owner could let some things go, declutter and remove the junk.

While out of town for the weekend, we ran into car trouble near Red Hook that required us to stay overnight. Pat was extremely accommodating and understanding of our circumstances, and went above and beyond at a late hour to be helpful to us and get us settled in promptly. She was very gracious and welcoming, and the inn's rooms are eclectic and fun.

We are horrified by the inn. We pulled into a completely dark driveway with a burnt out RV parked. The house was decrepit, moldy, and we found a tick in the bathtub. We left almost immediately because we were so disgusted, and Pat would not refund our 350.00 deposit

Excellent for an extended stay. Caring friendly hostess. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quite unique. Quiet. Located in center of town. Home cooked breakfasts. Wonderful front porch for reading, visiting, hanging out.

We had a lovely stay at the Red Hook Country Inn. The inn itself is lovely; beautiful front porch with plenty of room to sit and relax and decorated lovely with antiques. The room we stayed in (number 6) was excellent!! EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE king sized bed, AC and a ceiling fan, cute stained glass window in one window, cable TV, a large bathroom, and most importantly clean and tidy. Excellent location in a very cute town, close to other cute towns and plenty of things to do in the area. I only met one of the innkeepers Sharon, but both were lovely. Pat was extremely helpful booking our last minute reservation, and gave us great information and recommendations for the area. Sharon was very friendly too! We will definitely stay again when we visit the area.
