Quality Inn Belton - Kansas City South

I am compelled to provide this review, I had to give it a 1-star rating, as it is the minimum required to post a review; otherwise, I would have assigned a 0-star rating. Our recent stay at this establishment was intended to be a joyous occasion, as we were attending a wedding. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by numerous issues. The communication was woefully inadequate, and our attempts to rectify the problems were hindered by the language barrier of the staff limited to english proficiency. Despite repeated requests to speak with Debra, the individual who handled our reservation, we were met with resistance, and our calls were frequently disconnected. This pattern persisted for an entire week, culminating in a conversation with Debra on the day of our check-in, which ultimately proved unfruitful. To our dismay, the room reserved for the bride and groom had been canceled, when arrived to check in the hotel was booked leaving the Bride & Groom without a room. Also several guests, including ourselves, experienced difficulties with our room keys. Furthermore, the hallways were permeated with a musty odor, while the rooms reeked of excessive air freshener, which likely served as an attempt to mask the underlying smell. The bedding was stained, and the hotel's exterior was in dire need of maintenance. To compound these issues, we were charged an amount exceeding the initial quote. In light of these complications, we shall never again patronize any Quality Inn establishment. The experience was a profound disappointment, not only for ourselves but also for our guests, whom we had recommended stay at this hotel. The cumulative effect of these issues is utterly unacceptable, and we strongly suggest that the management take immediate action to rectify these problems.

It was great

Worthy the money. Not the nicest of hotels, a little sketchy on the grounds around the hotel. Once inside it was fine. Needs updating, the room was relatively comfortable. Bed and pillows were good. Shower was good.

Basic hotel with a quiet location. The staff was nice. Would stay there again. It was not overpriced.
