good location
Angela was very welcoming and treated us as a part of the family.The Breakfast was cooked to order and it was very good.The acccomadation was very clean and had all the facilities we needed

This might work for a walker with a backpack who is looking for shelter and running water. The farmhouse is far away from the Kirkby Stephen train station, and requires transportation. Once there, no one was able to help to get luggage upstairs. The room itself was too small to open luggage. The farmhouse is part of a working sheep farm, which requires walking down a road and driveway with sheep manure all around, unless one is in a vehicle.

Lovely location on a working sheep farm, near Ravenstonedale. The village is walking distance with two good pubs. Cosy room, good shower and breakfast. The location is also ideal for walkers of all abilities. Good tourist attractions nearby.

Spotlessly clean, lovely soft and comfy beds, powerful and hot shower. The bedside lamps had USB A charging sockets, and there was a glass water bottle for drinks, which was a nice touch. The hot breakfast was great with local sausages, but plenty of other choices, including chilled juices. All in all, one of the best B&B’s we have stayed at, you could tell that Angela has really thought about giving her guests the best possible stay.

We stayed at High Greenside B&B while walking Coast to Coast with Contours. Very comfortable accommodation, bedroom with ensuite, very quiet rural location. No noise. Friendly hostess. Great breakfast. Easy walking distance to Kings Head pub. Good packed lunches available.

Not our first visit, we return often because it’s a place where you can really switch off and totally relax. Dark skies, comfy bed, SUPERB breakfast and a very hospitable host. No doubt we shall return in 2024.

Take no notice of those reviewers who complain about the untidy yard. It's nothing to do with the hospitable hostess, Angela, as her neighbours are doing her a disservice she doesn't deserve. In any case, this is a remote sheep farm, not a city boutique. The view to the wild beauty of the Howgills at the back is worth the visit alone. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the chance to dine at the Black Swan a mile away is not to be missed. But don't over-indulge or you won't fully appreciate Angela's excellent breakfast.
