We stayed two nights at Athgira River Camp. The glamping tents are really nice - big size with comfortable beds (and extra protection of mosquito nets), and the private but outdoor (to the sky) bathroom is very cool 😎. There are two nice outdoor pools to use. The hotel also has a safari service and this is a magical experience. Our safari driver was a great guide, very knowledgeable. The hotel manager Saman is excellent, running a busy operation with individual attention to every guest. Highly recommend!!

We had a brilliant time. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The accommodation was amazing and on a beautiful setting next to the river. Plus, the Safari was definitely a highlight of our hole trip. Thank you.

The best place in Sri Lanka. Very large tents of high quality and huge ensuite bathrooms. Great setting next to national park. Palm trees and banana trees in a nice garden setting. Food is plenty and tasty. The staff go out of their way to make your experience the very best. Highly recommended.

Nice glamping location near Udawalawa NP. We had a nice family tent with excellent connected outdoor bathroom. Also 2 swimming pools are available to cool down. Mr Saman made sure we had a convenient stay and also arranged late breakfast after our return from safari. We had some power failures but Mr Saman reacted promptly on my whatsapp messages and the power was quickly restored. With the current rainfall this can occur and it is about solving it that counts. Overall recommend staying here!

Les chambres sont très jolies, la literie est très confortable. Cet hôtel permet de faire une nuit insolite tout en ayant tout le confort et la propreté nécessaire. Le personnel est juste incroyablement gentil. Du room service jusqu'au directeur de l'hôtel, que de belles personnels a votre écoute et disponible pour vous aider. Je recommande sans hésiter cette hôtel. Merci mille fois encore pour les photos !!!!!! Séverine

Un parfait oasis dans cette région chaude ! Nous recommandons avec plaisir ce cap de luxe Le staff est aux petits soins Le buffet petit déjeuner et dîner est parfaitement adapté. Mieux vaut éviter les plats de la carte et les snacks qui ne sont malheureusement pas à la hauteur du buffet Le management sait prendre soins de ses clients

Wir hatten noch nicht so viel Safari Lodge, doch diese gefiel uns sehr. So sauber und großzügig. Das Essen kam von einem Buffett und war von bester Qualität. Das Barbecue war für meinen Geschmack zu trocken, aber was soll‘s. Extrapunkt: Die Safari Unser Guide Sachinthana war jung, hatte Lust auf Safari und Lust auf Gäste. Und Lust auf Kommunikation. Gutes Englisch, und kurze präzise Sätze mit der richtigen Menge an Infos. Die beste Safari in Sri Lanka. Und: Wir hatten eine Menge zu lachen Das war genau das richtige für uns. Danke, Sachin

This place has a fabulous atmosphere. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms that make you feel like you’re camping in luxury in the middle of the jungle. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food great. Two lovely pools. One of my favourite ever accommodations.

We just stayed for 2 days at this tented camp and it was brilliant. The manager Mr Samon is excellent, he runs a disciplined workforce and ensures you have everything you need. He really looked after my wife and I, upgrading us to a luxury tent with air conditioning for our second night, as my wife had only mentioned when he asked, that she was a bit hot during the previous night. Thank you Mr Samon! You are a captive audience as there is nothing else really around there, but that is no problem at all as the evening buffet is excellent with a huge choice of different foods including great Sri Lankan dishes. We highly recommend this unique place for a stay in Udewalawa.
