La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham at WaTiki Waterpark

Was nice place and friendly staff, beds comfortable. Hotel clean. Breakfast normal waffle everyday, sausage, eggs, biscuits gravy somedays, other items. Some days staff were to busy talking and not filling food. And bad thing is cover good a lot napkins

We don't stay at LaQuinta often, so I think the room was probably just a normal LaQuinta hotel room. We only stayed one night at the end of our vacation. We wished we had been able to stay another night! The water park was AWESOME!!! My kids (ages 16, 12, and 7) absolutely loved it. They swam and played 6pm to 9pm when it closed and then got up and swam 8am to 10am before we had to check out at 11am. We had all of our stuff packed and they showered really fast before check out. My 7 year old wants to go back already. The only problem is that it is in South Dakota. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. You can order pizza at the waterpark from a QR code at your table. The pizza was SO good. I thought it was good, but then when all 3 of my kids said "Wow, this pizza is REALLY good", I knew it wasn't just me. In my opinion it was better than the chain pizza places (pizza hut, domino's, pappa johns). A llittle pricey, but we would definitely order it again. The waterpark was busy and crazy. It was really full and hard to find a table to sit at. I think we got lucky because we got one just as people were leaving. But even with the craziness, if we are even remotely close we would go back again 100%. We loved our stay and would recommend it!

Great stop for the kids to get rid of some energy! It was exactly what they needed. Hot tube was good also. Bed was very hard.

We stayed here for the USTA Gymnastics Nationals for an entire week. Overall we had a pretty good experience. First the gentleman working the breakfast Monday - Thursday was fantastic. He had waffles coming out extremely quick and kept the lines moving making breakfast awesome. Friday and Saturday had to make your own which really slowed down the breakfast. Rotation of biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage one day, pancakes, eggs, and sausage the second day. Our niece enjoyed the water park and we enjoyed the arcade. Very short ride to the Monument for the events. Was nice having access to pizza and snacks right on sight although we didnt use it much. Closely located to shopping and attractions as well. Short drive to the Reptile Gardens, Armadillo Ice Cream, and the Presidents walking tour. For a kids focused hotel was clean enough and really not to noisy during our stay there. The one not so great experience, we were stuck on the elevator for about 10 minutes. The door closed and the elevator did not move, the door open button would not work either. The call button worked but the desk had a tough time understanding us, so I called my wife and she called the front desk and someone was able to come over and pull the door open from the outside. Seemed like a one off incident as we were there from Sunday to Saturday and rode the elevator many times and it seemed to work just fine the rest of the day (it happened on our last day). There is also a Perkins Restaurant attached to the resort as well. We did have an issue when we called and booked in advance under the block for gymnastics and it never got booked, luckily my wife called to ask a question and found out we were not booked, however the manager was great once the issue was discovered and got us taken care of, otherwise we would have had a 14 hour drive and arrived to no where to stay. We would stay here again but definitely make sure you get a confirmation and confirm your stay especially if booking under a group block.

The hotel is nice but geared for children. The floors were always wet in the common areas. The menu on the resturant was also geared for children. Not enough parking especially for handicapped.
