We were looking forward for our stay at Balmoral Camp bliss, considering it’s been a long time since as a family we had a chance to take some sort of vacation. Looking at all the pictures of the place and glowing reviews, we were keen to reach there and enjoy our stay at the property. (It is advisable that you ask someone at the property to guide you for the last km, as google map just gives it up before a kilometer. Now coming to the property, on first look it really looks awesome. The bungalow itself is nice well done and clean. We had booked ourselves tent, going by the pictures in gallery we thought of giving ourselves a new experience without compromising on any of the basic creature comforts. Now there are a few points to note before you opt for a tent stay. Pictures aren’t portraying the truth. 1. It’s clear the tents aren’t cleaned regularly. We were left really disappointed seeing the state of it from inside, there were areas where we were consciously avoiding any touch. 2. If you have any elders or someone who finds it tough to climb up stairs, don't opt for it, as there are some stairs to reach them. I had my mother with me, who finds it difficult to climb up frequently, so it was indeed tough for her. Instead book rooms in the main bungalow, they are spacious and far well maintained and clean. 3. The Lenin and floor demand much, again proper scheduled cleaning it seems is skipped. 4. Ensure you bring all your toiletries essential, they just have some soap bars, and on request they provide dental kit (tooth brush and paste). I avoided using the towels provided after looking at how the linen in the room was kept. 5. Normally for the price you pay, you expect tea coffee kit. Yes it was provided, but one look at the inside of kettle, we thought it’s wise not to use it. Ended up ordering our morning and evening tea from the kitchen, as after repeated requests kettles weren't replaced. Of course the tea we ordered came at a price, which we realized while settling the bills. 6. Tents though give you a unique experience, they are quite, with only the sounds of birds chirping and an occasional howling from animals. (If it rains, it does gets noisy inside the tents and you hear every drop falling on top of it). 7. Since it’s kind of in the middle of forest surrounded by tress and flora, you would encounter some insects etc. but that adds to the whole experience. Coming to the rest of the property, as I said the property itself is nice, though don’t expect views of the valley. This is right in the middle of tall pine trees around it, and you experience complete seclusion. However, the property it seems is clearly not managed well, or at least during our stay. The staff is courteous but most of the times seems confused, with no one taking any lead, for everything they rely on calling someone for guidance. We had booked the property with all meals. The meals themselves for whatever was served was extremely delicious, it’s all home
