Shilhaandara

It was definitely a good stay. Great ambience. Surrounding was calm and quiet. You can definitely spend a leisure time with friends and family. Food was excellent. Breakfast, lunch , dinner all the buffet are great and delicious. Highly recommendable if you just want a chill and lazy day.

The pool rooms are great, more so if u have a kid these rooms are a great option to have. Activities were good, lot of walking up and down the mountains. Overall a great stay for ppl looking forward for a stay-active trip.

Rooms are untidy, In the washroom towels were not kept and Tv was not working. Before allotting the room they had to ensure the basics are available

Rooms design was okay but room service is pathetic.. minor requests are turned down. Staff is unwelcoming. Particularly the person at the outer reception. Staff not empathetic to guests.. they act like a cheap lodge , untrained and have a stinking attitude. Food is average , below avg quality ,tastes like local food stall. Linen was stained. Below par cleanliness.. activities are old fashioned and boring..i had to walk the length and breadth of the resort to get a bat caz someone was on lunch .

Had a great time at Shilaandhara. We had booked a one night stay at the end of the stay we felt we should have stayed for a day or 2 more. The best thing I liked about this place was the spacious kids pool. Other resorts or hotels we have seen so far have had small kiddy pool but here the kiddy pool was huge and as big as the adult pool. the room were simple but spacious and neat. The room service may it be for food or hair dryer was delivered really quick. We never had any problems with security. There was always resort staff seen throughout the resort. cons: it is supposed to be a eco tourism resort yet they serve tea in disposable tea cups that are harmful to the environment. We requested for a hair dryer and the dryer given to us was in the worst condition and cheap quality. The whole thing was wrapped in insulated tape. advise: Since there is heavy crowd in the dining area due to day out package there should be a different dining area or restaurant for those guests who have opted for stay. The room bathrooms should be maintained and checked more regularly. Our room sink was leaking and had slow drainage. The soap holder was broken. Since this is a premium resort and with us paying 5k per room for a night we would expect better amenities in the room... like 2 hand towels ***** with the 2 bath towels provided and better quality pillows. The pillows provided were clumpy and the cushions were dusty.
