You’ll need taxi or car to go to Rakuten Stay if you bring suitcase, as Nikko don’t have a well pedestrian walk and it’s a bit hard if you pull your luggage by yourself.

The check-in process quiet confusing as there’s no reception and the easiest way is to call the Rakuten Stay straight away and ask room number and door passcode and you can do the check-in process inside your room.

The room is really nice and it’s huge, we even get our own onsen which is really nice. The price also not that expensive, compare to hotel room if you’re more than 2 people.

Overall really enjoy my stay despite the confusing check-in, but the help center really assist me patiently

The hotel is equipped with an open air parking block of around 15 spaces, which I assume it's first come
first serve basis. When we arrived on a monday night (Mid august) around 9pm to check in there was only one parking space left. 
Check in -and out are done in a compartment next to the parking spaces, self serviced on a tablet with quite a few language options (english, chinese....).
Our room was spacious and even came equipped with a projector (poppin Alladin) which the kids enjoyed for watching movies. 
There was a laundry machine inside the room, with laundry detergent provided, and drying rack.
Enough clean towels were provided for our family during the stay so we did not need to wash the towels.
However as there was no in room housekeeping service, the litter processing was done by ourselves (perhaps the only inconvenience we found in living in this motel).

We stayed with 6 family members. It was a single house, but the bedroom and living room did not feel cramped and I was able to spend a relaxing time.
If you are a hotel, you need to move to the public bath and the rice venue, but it is especially recommended for families with children without such trouble. Also, I think it is very conscientious because all the equipment is available at a cheap price.
It was a pity that I needed to register as a member to watch TV, and I couldn't watch Netflix because I couldn't upgrade. I was very happy to watch YouTube on a large screen for children.
I was worried when I saw the word of mouth that the emergency lights in the bedroom were bright, but I didn't care if I closed my eyes.

A group of six people traveled independently. The hotel is generally good. The room is relatively large. It is relatively quiet after dark. There is a supermarket nearby for shopping, but you must pay attention to the business hours.

Point deduction items: There are flies in the room, there are dead insects in the garden, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. It is recommended to drive by car

This place has everything you need (onsen, washer, dryer, kitchen stuff, sauna, dishwasher and a telescope). Our family enjoys this place a lot. As we drove there, we had no issue in accessing to this place. However, we did face some issue with the self checking in using the in room tablet, as it couldn't upload our photos by showing us errors on the network. The contact centre staff has helped us to complete the check-in via pictures sent through emails. 

Also, there is no clearing of rubbish throughout my 3 days stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace! The day before check-in, I received an email with the entrance code, which made the whole process very smooth. The room was exactly as described on the website—with large windows offering an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake. The scenery alone made it more than worth it.

We had eight people staying in two 4-person rooms located on the third floor. One of the rooms was slightly larger and had extra bedding stored in the closet—enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. There were two bathrooms and two toilets in total, which was perfect for a group or family.

The main bathroom included a sauna, hot spring-style bath, shower area, double sinks, a washing machine, and a water dispenser. The second bathroom had a separate shower area and a single sink. Both toilets were separated spaces from bathrooms with high-tech with bidet functions and small sinks.

The large dining table and spacious sofa area easily seated all of us. We spent many relaxing moments on the balcony, soaking our feet in the warm onsen foot bath, chatting, and admiring the stunning view.
The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, detergent, a large fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, a capsule coffee machine, and a Japanese rice cooker that made delicious rice. The beds were on the firmer side but still soft and very comfortable.

It was just a 3-minute walk along the lake to the 7-Eleven, accessible by elevator from the building. The nearby pier was where we boarded the pirate ship cruise, and about 13 minutes further along the lake was the Peace Torii—a fantastic photo spot. Don’t forget to grasp some delicious bread at “bakery and table” before boarding to the ship.

After check-out, we stored our luggage in the lockers at Motohakone Port, took the pirate ship to Togendai, transferred to the ropeway to Sounzan, and visited Gora and Kowakudani before taking the mountain bus back to Motohakone to pick up our luggages. There are 4 lockers for suitcase up to 32 inches ¥700, 12 lockers for 24 inches ¥600, and 10 lockers for smaller size of bags ¥400. From there, we had a pre-arranged shuttle take us back to Tokyo. The whole route was smooth and well-organized—perfect for a larger group traveling without a car.

Overall, I highly recommend Rakuten Stay!

The hotel is located in Sengokuhara, Mt. Hakone. Located on a mountain road, the brand sign is not obvious. It is dark and the street lights are weak and you can't even see the hotel's sign! I can’t even see the hotel when I reach my destination via navigation! It took me two trips to find it. The South Building is easier to find, but the North Building is really hard to find. After finding the sign for the North Building, you have to turn into an alley and then up a small slope to find it. Because we stayed for two nights in a row, there was a problem with the hotel's check-in tablet, and the staff spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese.
The parking space of the North Building is not in front of the door. We need to take a detour and walk up the mountain. It is dark and there is no car light to pedestrian. They insist on asking us to park the car in this parking lot 15 minutes away. It is too dark and too dangerous. I request We parked in the unloading area for one night and didn't find a parking lot until the next day. We felt that it was dangerous to our safety. Unless it was in broad daylight, there was a lot of noise. For about two hours, the hotel staff did not allow us to park and called twice. Went to the room to find us, the trails they provided were even more impossible to walk at night. The next day we took a day trip, which was also dangerous. After walking for a while, we encountered a deer, which put us in a dilemma. Very angry about the parking issue.
Other than that, the hotel room was ideal. The equipment is complete, but the on-site environment is a bit far from the photos. The hot spring is just a bathtub, and you can adjust the hot water temperature by yourself. 🤣🤣
Overall review: 👍The room is comfortable and well-equipped
👎🏻 Regardless of the parking space, you need to walk on unsafe roads for 15 minutes

Just think about it, it is very difficult to find your hotel destination in the dark night without street lights or clear instructions and relying only on navigation.

There were many paid parking lots nearby, so parking was not a problem. However, it was difficult to carry heavy luggage from the paid parking lot to the 9th floor.
I wish it could be used only within the facility, when carrying luggage.
(It was only for contractors and could not be used within the facility.)
You could park for a maximum of 300 to 500 yen from 7pm and from 8pm to 8am.
There was also a coin laundry and Max Value within walking distance, so it was not a problem.

It was very clean. We felt at home.
The kids were delighted with the bunk beds.
There was a microwave, mini fridge, and washing machine.
There was no bathtub, only a shower.

To check in by yourself, the waiter said the wrong password of the door so that we entered the wrong door and automatically locked it for 5 minutes. We have to call customer service to check the correct password 🙈.

In addition to staying in this small thing, the others are also very good. The parking lot opposite the residence is very convenient. There is a projector in the room. The facilities are also very new. It is very good.
