We have been living in Sri Lanka for 3 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed! The main dining area and chef are the best in SL and the property is enchanting for a relaxing getaway. Can’t recommend enough! I already planning our next stay there.

Stayed at Stafford Bungalow for 2 nights and it was an amazing experience. The hospitality and the service of the staff is amazing. The team , led by Chanuka, thoroughly pampered us from serving tea and breakfast in the garden to proposing dishes that they felt we would like! No request was too small and they were very accommodating. The food was a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Every dish was good and the portions were just right for us . Do try the Milo semi freddo! The bungalow itself is beautiful and decorated tastefully. Since the weather was great, we spent most of our time in the gardens walking around and just simply taking in the view . Wished we could have stayed on for a few more days at Stafford Bungalow

We are traveling with a family staying at wonderful places for two weeks. Stafford bungalow has been without doubt the highlight. The rooms are extremely comfortable. They have created spaces that are at the same time referencing the history but with all modern conveniences. The staff are very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The food is excellent. We only stayed 2 nights but would happily stay a week

The place is magnificent. Beautiful surroundings, strolls through gardens and even on the tea plantation with or without guide. And even played croquet. Nothing was too much for the staff and dinner and breakfast were a feast. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful tucked away cottage in the heart of Ragala, which looks exactly out of an Enid blyton novel, covered in ivy and colourful flowers, large shady trees, and gorgeous hydrangeas lining the driveway. Aside from the aesthetics , the food is amazing and service amazing. Attention to detail, discreet, attentive without being obtrusive - truly lovely. Special mention to Chanuka who was such an amiable companion on our walks, and who also exemplified the warm service that I have written about. We will definitely be back .

We came with a group of friends and family for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very kind, really accommodating and friendly. We took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi between the hot days and cool evenings. All the small touches like the essential oil and hot waterbottles at turn-down made us feel so well looked after. The food was amazing - and plentiful! They offer a complementary tea field walk in the morning and a bird-watching tour in the afternoon. The birding is wonderful and not to miss! Thank you for the beautiful stay.

An oasis of a property. Great service offered by Chanuka and team. Chef preparations was a delight. As a city couple, the mountains have our heart. The gentle sounds of the birds and stream was therapy for our busy minds. Thank you … we hope to be back.
