I can see now why this was the only place with rooms available in the area, we just wanted somewhere to rest our heads as we we’re meeting up with our American family whom we’re staying in nearby Holcombe. The room was that basic and unclean that we didn’t stay there, breakfast was either toast or cereal (all supplied just prepare yourself in the room). £80 for a double room that basically was inhabitable, filthy and smelt of damp.

Don’t stay here I am not normally someone to complain but I was very disappointed with this accommodation that I need to warn others. I booked in an Inn expecting to be able to get an evening meal but the place was deserted, run down and the room cold and dirty. The breakfast consisted of a choice of three small cereal boxes with. Self made. Tea and coffee in the room. The worst thing was the sheets appeared to have been already slept in and were stained and the duvet was so thin it was like sleeping under a sheet. I had to get dressed and put my coat on the get warm. This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed in and at £65 was a complete rip off even £25 would have been expensive.

Do not book Arrived on Sunday 20th Oct after a 5half hr drive to find no one in pub except landlord .Asked about food and was told there is no food ..asked about breakfast told it’s in your room Cereal plus milk in fridge No bowls or cups were changed in 2 days Traffic noise with lorries going past all night just outside bedroom window on ground floor with no curtains just a paper thin blind The noise was unbearable so left and booked in somewhere else People need to be aware this place is really been run into the ground and the noise you just cannot sleep Not worth £40 for 4 nights let alone £260 Disgusting Kevin

Sack the cleaner. Needs a good clean. As lovely as you are Graham I think it's time to hang up the gloves. Please sack your cleaner!. Using bleach in the bathroom before I arrived was great but it didn't excuse the filthy shower or everything covered in dust or the stains on the sheets. If you were to get your other eye fixed you may actually see how bad it is. I have photo's however lucky for you they won't upload

Great little place! Very happy with the room and facilities, very friendly owner and extremely comfy bed. The only downside was there was no phone signal in the area, but that also meant i had no distractions for the evening! So not so bad. It also had great parking right outside the room. Great price too for what you get. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a pint as they advertised 'cask marque' on the door. Scruffy, untidy with a tray of left over food on the bar. Nobody in the pub, curtains in part of the pub still drawn at 1 lunch time.'landord' sat watching t.v. told "I only have bottled beer'. Can only guess they are driving the poor pub into the ground say they can get planning permission for a house. Went round the corner to the horse and jockey, place rammed!

Alright OK as a stopover but we did get the impression we were not expected. Sunday lunch advertised but no meals and none in the evening. Breakfast was in the room with cereal and toast and nothing else.

The room had a nasty smell. The toilet seat was loose and slipped sideways when I sat on it, in order to stop myself from falling I had to step into the cobwebs under the sink. The shower was hot and powerful, but the shower head was rusty and caked in calcium deposits. Everything in the room was run down, in need of decoration or just grubby. The room was advertised as "Breakfast included" the breakfast was a choice of 3 individual packets of cornflakes and a pint of milk. The mattress was hard and a bit lumpy. There was no wi-fi or mobile phone signal. When I left on the second morning there was nobody available to return the key to, so I had to post it through the letter box in the front door of the pub (which had been closed the evening before)
