The room was very comfortable, according to Chinese business standards, with a kettle. But why didn't they clean the room the next day when we booked for two days? I left the hotel early in the morning because I got back to the room too late, so I didn't inform the hotel.

Excellent location near the main street and within walking distance to the hospital, for shops, services & eateries. 3 floors of rooms with VIP room (222) tucked right beside/behind the elevator. Crips white linens, AC and heat in the rooms. Shower had partial glass partition for easy entry. Travel-size toiletries included. Hairdryer mounted on the bathroom wall had a green "night light" but wasn't quiet (as labelled). Mini fridge, kettle, mugs, glasses and 1-cup coffee brewer included in the room. Shared microwaves in the rest area near the elevator door.

We arrived on Christmas Eve and the attendant at the front desk quoted us $195 for a room….. we said we noticed the room was listed for $155 on ******* for the same suite. As we work in the hotel industry we know that properties pay a commission to the booking site so we wanted to let the hotel give us the same rate as posted online. The front desk attendant mentioned that only the manager Julie was allowed to change the rate and she would be in the next day. We took the room and expected to have the rate adjusted the next day when Julie was at the property. That did not happen. Julie refused to honour the online rate and we cancelled our stay and then rebooked online for the better price while standing at the counter. We were also overcharged for our first night and they made us pay $202 plus taxes for the first night. Booking through ******* and not at the front desk saved us over $400 for our five night stay. And the property still has to pay a commission to *******. At least I find that part rather funny and appropriate Obviously this property is not concerned about profitability or good guest relations. So buyer beware! Book online and a save yourself a bunch of money if you plan to stay here
