I booked this IHG hotel because it read Centro Historico, but we quickly realized upon arrival that we were on a major thoroughfare and approximately 2 miles from the city center known as Centro Historico. The hotel is in the Historic Zone, not the city center where all the markets and plazas are. What a scam as far as advertising. Had I known I was going to have to pay for Uber or taxi every time we went out, I would have opted for another place to stay. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room, lobby and pool area kept impeccable. The fact that there was an ATM machine on site was great! Always felt safe, grounds very well lit. The only thing that was unpleasant was that there was no hot water to shower with the both nights we were there. The breakfast buffet was fine, but nothing to write home about. Fresh fruit, hot coffee, the “green juice” was weak, it tasted like orange juice with a bit of greens mixed in as an afterthought. Great kitchen staff and at the gift shop. I don’t think we will return. Now that I think about it, I should have consulted the Google maps street view. Thanks again. Marta Diamond Elite Member The a la cart menu was much better.

El día de ayer llegamos al hotel, es un hotel bonito, con mantenimiento y mucho control en acceso a cuartos y alberca. Las habitaciones las considero de buen tamaño, con buen espacio, aunque nos asignaron 1 qué está al fondo del pasillo y son largos mucho que caminar, el baño es chico y tiene un olor a drenaje horrible. La alberca esta bien siempre y cuando no esté lleno, porque sino parece balneario público ni donde sentarse. Debo comentar algunas cosas que considero pueden contemplar para un mejor servicio, sí ya saben las habitaciones que tienen reservadas deben tenerlas listas para el check in que es a las 3 y sólo nos entregaron 2 y a la tercera hasta en la tarde, luego nos cobraron diferente a la reserva hecha en su propia página, sí nos rembolsaron pero deben estar más atentos. Y algo que sí lo consideo muy corriente para el nivel de hotel, es que para ingresar a la alberca te ponen una pulsera diferente diario para identificar y están checando la tengas y te revisan las bolsas para ver que no metas nada de tomar o beber, en mi vida me habían hecho eso pues que tipo de huéspedes tiene para hacer eso. El hotel es bonito y muy acogedor, el bufete de desayuno completo y bueno lo recomiendo, tiene un pianista que toca muy bonito y ameniza el desayuno.
