Hotel Playa Espadilla & Gardens

Great stay The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and I loved the location. Only 2min walk to the beach and 6 min walk from the main entrance of the national park. Also great perks was monkeys came into the hotel by the pool area so I really enjoyed that

Espadilla Hotel near Manuel Antonio National Park Nice Hotel with close proximity to Manuel Antonio Park ,and our No 1 choice though San Bada Hotel was there which was overpriced ,actually all hotels in Costa Rica are overpriced ,but is a nice property ,only thing this room lacked was a cupboard or closet to hang our stuff which was quite inconvenient leaving our stuff in our suitcases and on the bed ,which house cleaning staff had to move our clothes while making the room ,otherwise its a wonderful place , super sumptuous breakfast which the family loved and I highly recommend this hotel to guests wanting to visit Manuel Antonio National Park ,which you can see the beauty and biodiversity that our planet has and kudos to the Costa Rican government which spends to maintain this natural beauty.

Wonderful! This hotel is wonderful! Great service from reception to the restaurant. Location is perfect for the beach and close proximity to Manuel Antonio NP. We stayed for 3 days and loved it! The restaurant staff even sang happy birthday to me (via request from my hubby).

Slice of paradise Overall a great experience. Location to the beach and national park couldn’t be better. Room was nice and clean. Only complaint on room was utter lack of closet / storage space, even for one person. 2 people would be really tight. Pool area was lovely. Restaurant and bar was fantastic for breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff all over. Would definitely stay here again.

We (couple) stayed here over a late rainy (and very rainy) season week. We loved Hotel Playa Espadilla and its friendly and thoughtful staff. The hotel’s location has extremely easy access (5 minute walk) to Manuel Antonio (beach and restaurants/shops), and to the gates of the National Park. The hotel is slightly set back from the road so it feels private. It has a small gift shop, pool, and nature trail. If you don’t want to leave the property for a meal, the tasty daily breakfast was more than enough to start our day and dinner/drinks/dessert at the resort’s restaurant or pool bar made for a few great evenings. Our room had a view of the forest, sounds of a small creek, birds, and frogs. We were graced with almost daily sightings of white face monkeys, toucans, butterflies, iguanas/lizards, and many other beautiful birds. Our 2nd floor covered patio table/chairs made for excellent viewing. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It was serviced daily by housekeeping and we couldn’t have asked for better care - muchas gracias! I would note, our room had a large 2-person spa tub with a hand shower. It took a few showers to adjust but is the only surprising feature of the room. I do believe the resort offers an accessible bathroom that can be used by any guest where the spa tub/shower might not suit.
