Jungle Creek

We stayed at Jungle Creek Villas for 4 days in the El Gekko Villa (Studio), which is right next to the outdoor pool. The room was very spacious and had many of the comforts of being home. The Manager (Heidy) meet us when we arrived and was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay with suggestions on where to eat or go during our stay. Heidy also booked some excursions for us during our stay.

DON'T RISK YOUR HEALTH!! Please go read google reviews on this place and owners response to my review. stay clear of this place. We stayed at Dos Palmas in July. When we arrived, Heidi gave us a tour of the Villa. Upon entering, there was a strong scent of mold. Once we settled in, we actually found active mold on the walls. Called Heidi right away, but was told that the cleaners just scrubbed the walls 2 days ago and mold was common in Costa Rica - they will clean the walls next day. Next day, received a text from Heidi saying the active mold I found was actually concrete - as you can see photos - it is NOT concrete... ITS ACTIVE MOLD!!!! It was on the lamps, it was on shower walls, it was ON THE WALLS!!. There was dead bugs on the walls, live bugs on the plates, ants in the microwave, towels they provided was dirty. Pillow cover smelled like oil head and wasn't washed a while. I tried to look for a place near by but all was booked. The last review 1 star review Jungle Creek received was the reality of this place. I don't even think this place deserved 1 star.

My wife and I stayed at Jungle Creek Villas the last week of Jan. '24. We celebrated our 50th anniversary that week. The accommodations were perfect. Very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere and vibe at Jungle Creek couldn't have been any better. A small out of the way place to stay either short term or extended. Heidi was awesome and extremely helpful in arranging anything you may want to do or need during your stay.

We loved this location! It was centrally located and close to some of the nicest beaches in the area. There’s a variety of restaurants and bars as well as grocery shopping within minutes of walking distance. Within the first 20 hours we saw quite a few monkeys and even a sloth on the property. Paula is very easy to communicate with as she’s very quick to reply to questions and also provides great support with finding things to do in the area. We will definitely come back here…hopefully, bringing a few friends along! Thanks Paula!

We stayed in Alma Pacifica with 2 couples. We arrived at 10:00 pm and we were greeted by Paula, the owner-operator of Jungle Creek; she introduced us to the property and left us with detailed information in a laminated booklet. We really appreciated the welcome basket since we did not have an opportunity to purchase groceries until the next day. The villa is spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own air conditioner. The beds are comfortable and there is ample closet space. The kitchen is well-stocked and the refrigerator has an ice maker. We used the BBQ every day! Our favourite part of Jungle Creek was the outdoor area with a pool, covered patio, all types of chairs and a BBQ. We really enjoyed meeting the other guests and hearing about their adventures. Twice, during our stay, all of the guests went to dinner together. We spent time each day watching the wildlife which is abundant. We saw monkeys, a sloth, toucans, macaws, butterflies...everything you would see at the national park right in Paula's backyard! Paula is knowledgeable and always willing to help with dinner reservations, calling taxis and booking activities. We appreciated her recommendations. The property is secured by a locked gate and we felt safe all the time.
