Riverside Bungalows

Carlos ir Charlie is a wonderful host that will go out of his way to make your stay the best yet. With only 5 bungalows to tend to our group had the whole place to ourselves. The property has an abundance of wildlife, our favorite were the macaws! Definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone who enjoys being surrounded by nature😉

We just couldn't say enough about our stay. The family that owns the property made us feel at home and we enjoyed our time. Next time we are in Quepos, we will stay longer.

Excellent, brand new spot with some of the best hospitality I’ve seen. And don’t forget to grab a perfectly cooked meal at their restaurant Chillax—the fish was delicious! Carlos and his son Charlie were incredibly welcoming—we can’t wait to be back!

We loved our stay here. Family of 4. Kids 8 & 10. You have your own little modern style bungalow and it was comfortable and spacious enough for the 4 of us. Air conditioning and good hot water. A nice outdoor patio that felt somewhat private and had a good sized refrigerator for use. They have a pool and small restaurant which is nice if you don’t want to head out for food. It’s owned and run by a local family who were so nice and attentive. And very proud of what they’d built. They have two dogs that my children adored. And they were lots of iguanas and lizards and birds. Every day there is a pair of macaws that come to the property. It’s well located but you do need to go up a dirt road a ways to get to it. There wasn’t too much to walk to so it is a good idea to have a car.

Having previously enjoyed our stays at Carlos' family's prior resort, we looked forward to booking his new venture in the same wildlife rich locale and were more than delighted with the cabins, pool, bistro, grounds and creek access - an oasis in the forest. Everything was new and tastefully designed (and painted) and we reveled in all the extra room provided by our covered front patio. On our second day my wife had a medical episode and Carlos, always treating us as family, expedited us to the nearest private clinic to attend to our emergency. Sadly, we had to miss two nights stay and 'young Carlos' waited several hours for our late return on the fourth night to ensure our cabin access and to inquire about my wife's health. True concern, genuine people, great people, and a wonderful new resort. Without through traffic even better for watching toucans et al and one rainy season later the resort will be even more lush. Grateful for the help and hope we can have an uneventful return. Ross and Sandie
