The hotel is very quiet, with a large lawn outside. The staff are very friendly. I stayed for two days and was quite satisfied. I also liked the breakfast. If you like a quiet stay, this is a good place.

Ahh! Where do we begin! Hidden Lodge - oh my what an experience! 1. Location - 5 minutes drive from town + spectacular views of Cecil Peak & The Remarkables. The lodge is literally the last house so you get uninterrupted views of the surroundings! We got lucky and were able to star gaze from the all natural wood fired hot tub! You get the best of both worlds - gorgeous uninterrupted views and peaceful surroundings + 5 minutes drive to town! 2. Hosts Wendy & David - Wendy & David are kind, thoughtful, warm and beautiful humans! They truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From offering helpful local tips and weather updates to helping plan the perfect day—even on rainy days—they made every moment special. We originally booked for two nights but decided to return after our trip to Wanaka, extending our stay by another six nights. Best decision ever! They even made my husband’s birthday memorable with a thoughtful gift and card. Wendy’s warmth and David’s entertaining personality were the perfect combination. We can’t wait to come back! 3. Delicious breakfast - This is included as part of your stay - you get to choose from a range the night before! Delicious, home cooked, chef style breakfast, fresh juice and delicious coffee. We started our day with a good hearty meal!

Hidden Gem in Queenstown
My wife and I had an amazing experience at this lodge. I would definitely stay there again as they offered more than an amazing place to stay, they provided an experience to speak with some locals who have the BEST recs on what to do and are just great people to talk to. We also tried the hot tub which was a great experience. It's just outside of town so you feel removed but close enough to take a nice walk or local bus. Great location and amazing views I can't say enough good things about this place and the amazing people that run it. You feel like family!

Superb location and views from the lounge and bedroom. Hosts are excellent and gave us great information and tips. The lodge is set a little way out Queenstown but there is a good bus service. The lodge provide bus cards you can use as it is tap on and off, On our first night we didn’t want to go out for a meal after a long drive and hosts told us of a great fish and chip shop. Local area is extremely hilly and k mean hilly so be careful not to walk up too many hills. The view across the lake to the mountains is superb. We had cloudless nights when we stayed and the lodge is great for star gazing, I would thoroughly recommend.

Out of our entire 2-week trip, David and Wendy were our favorite hosts! We had the most wonderful stay at the Hidden Lodge and can't wait to return!
