On the shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry is situated ten miles to the north of Edinburgh. So the Premier Inn Hotel Edinburgh (South Queensferry) is the ideal base for venturing into Scotland's first city, or for exploring the majestic landscape of the Lothians. Queensferry has some puzzling traditions, like the procession of the Burry Man and the annual dip in the Firth of Forth. But there are plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Georgian splendour of Hopetoun House or Dundas Castle. There are lots of business venues and good transport links. Once you're done for the day, come back to great food at our Brewers Fayre restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.Show More

Great alternative hotel for someone traveling in Edinburgh, the 43 bus take you straight from city center to the hotel.
There's McDonalds and M&S Food Hall near the hotel.

The room I was in was badly in need of redecoration. There were hairs on the towel and in the bathroom. The pillow case was far too small for the pillow and was inside out. There was a packet of plant food on the shelf beside the spare pillows. Overall disappointing for Premier Inn usual standards.

The location is good as it’s only 5miles from a nearby train station. My kid like the McDonald’s in walking distance. My husband like the free parking. If you need an Uber, it may take longer time because taxi are few. A good price to stay for three nights with family. The room services need to have much improvement. They took away my wet floor towel but didn't provide a fresh one back. They put the large used towel back to the rack rather than replacing a new and clean one. This was ridiculous.

Clean rooms and friendly staff, great location, good basic breakfast, only got one bath towel which was strange, quiet location, plenty free parking, cozy bedroom, hairdryer in room and coffee making facilities too, hotel was easy to find

:Public spaces and rooms a bit dated - fraying carpets and upholstery in places. However, if its just somewhere to sleep, good value for maney. Beds comfy, breakfast good and location anf ease of access (for us) was also spot on. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. If you are there for more than one night, you have to ask for the room to be cleaned etc and I'm pretty sure that the Radox shower gel was watered down - its never that thin when I buy it ! Went to the bar for a nightcap before closing time to be told they had already run the tills.

Hotel a bit tired. A couple of reception staff not great. On check in, one commented on my mother putting stuff from our journey in the bin outside before realising she was with us. When I went to book breakfast for the following morning another woman on reception didn’t even make eye contact with the man she was checking in as she was watching something on the screen in front of her. Big clump of hair in the bath plug that we had to remove before being able to bathe the toddler but everything else was clean and tidy. All other staff were great, particularly the man working in the restaurant in the evening we arrived 2/11 and the following morning 3/11.

the staff were friendly and helpful, however, the room wasn't available at the specified check in time of 3pm. We discovered later that the bed had no sheet on it. The room was a bit tired and not very clean. For example the bathroom had some mould and the corners of the room were dirty.
