The room was very good. There were modern living facilities in a natural and harmonious environment. The hotel restaurant was also very good, with affordable prices and a surprising amount of color. In addition, there were not many tourists here, which is especially suitable for summer travel.

To start our experience, I stood in line for 15 minutes to check in, the check in lady said my room wasn’t ready and I would have to go to the end of the 10 person deep line and try again, it was 3:46pm, so only 14 minutes before 4pm check in, so I finally make my way to the check in counter again at 3:58, a different check in lady said my room wasn’t ready but she would call because it should be, and yes, it was ready, they forgot to update it in the system, quite possibly the first agent could have done that. They then proceeded to tell me to drive down the road and park at the cabin just passed ours to take our stuff in, then park back in the lot…there is absolutely no path to the cabin to take your stuff in unless you want to climb up a hill in the woods, and make your own path!!!! Arggg We were three couples staying in the 3 bedroom oceanfront cottage, number 20. Pack light, it is quite a walk from the main parking lot on an uneven walkway, uphill around cottage 19 (watch your head, there is a vent sticking out at head level) to reach your VERY rustic cottage. No AC, no fans, no airflow. Very dirty and dated, rustic as advertised but rustic doesn’t have to be dirty or dated! One bed had chips in it, another bed had sand in it! So gross! And, the attached pictures will show the rest!!!

We were so pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem, we stayed in one of the glomes and loved it. The only thing that we would have loved more is a propane fire pit. I am not sure if they didn't have them due to the fire ban or they just don't offer them, they should, with a view like that to enjoy, we would have spent more time on our deck. Our hot tub wasn't the cleanest, which should be addressed. The food was awesome and the bunnies, I LOVED the bunnies, they were a highlight.

We visited White Point with our 4 and 6 year olds and cannot say enough how perfect it is for a family vacation! The kids always had something fun - with incredible programming/recreation staff. The food was incredible (which I will say is normally lacking in hotels/resorts) and the service was so friendly and personal. Everything was so easy and seamless. Not to mention the incredible beach and ocean views. We intend to make White Point an annual tradition for our family - and will be sure to extend to family and friends next time! Highly recommend I’d you want to experience the best the East Coast has to offer!

We joined resort guests for dinner to celebrate an anniversary. Consensus among our group was: overpriced, poor quality and pretentious. The only ones who didn't complain were the two who had the buffet. Admittedly the buffet did sound good but at $55 per person us just wild. The average person doesn't eat $55 worth of food in one meal. Almost $30 for two piece fish and chips? No options for more plain, basic eaters. I had the pulled pork. The sandwich what just unceremoniously thrown on the plate with a sad little cup of far too salty fries. No effort in presentation, no imagination. My meals cooked at home have better presentation than we got. The meat wasn't recognizable, it was more pork pate than pulled pork. Others in our group said their fish was crispy on the ends but soggy in the middle. Those who visited the dessert table came back saying it was bougie and not at all appealing. Our server, Heidi, was great. We were a larger group and she handled us well and managed to keep us all straight. We did not bring our concerns to her attention as it would have upset the people we were there to celebrate. When we decided WP would be where they wanted dinner I emailed the dining room with a question. It took over a month, and me following up, to get an answer. Then closer to us visiting I emailed again to ensure nothing with my previous inquiry changed. Again it took me having to send two follow ups and copying someone else in on my email to get an answer. I worked at WP almost 20 years ago and distinctly remember people raving about the food. While I understand things change over time, this isn't the WP I knew and loved. Looking through other reviews people have complained about their experiences in the dining room. The response is always "we're sorry, we'll pass your concerns on". Either the concerns aren't being passed on, or they're falling on deaf ears. Frankly, it seems like no one cares.

We stayed in one of the treehouses for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was amazing. The view is completely unbeatable, waking up every AM to the sun coming up and if a clear night you see stars upon stars. We were a bit under the weather, so we were able to have food and drink in the kitchenette and didn’t have to leave the treehouse one day. I wish we had more time and felt better enough to do more around the area, but the view and accommodations in the treehouse made being sick in bed not such a bad thing.

The location is a great example of the beauty of the South Shore of Nova Scotia. We enjoyed the beach, pickle-ball and an aqua-fit class. The restaurant service was, however, terrible. Two meals were had in the restaurant and both were very late in arriving. My wife and daughter waited an hour and a half for lunch and received the wrong order. Hoping for better in the evening we booked a dinner for 6:45. Food was not served till 8:45.
