The pros, location and hotel room is good. You can walk to the tourist attractions as it is closeby such as hotel frontenac, the citadelle and the lower quarter via a funicular lift. I love that it is spacious and has good strong water pressure and the staff are polite and proffesional. The cons I was allocated a room which is not at lift level. More like in between floors. I did not find this info in their website when making booking. So when they mention they have lift I assumed it stops at every level. I tried to request to change but was told they are full as it was close to weekend. I stayed from wed to friday. So i have to walk up and down 2 flights of staircases daily for 3 days with knee joint pain. The staff offered to help with my luggage so that help solve the problem. Also the room will only be clean after you check out. I dislike seeing unmade beds and trash fill up. So ended up making own bed.
COME FOR THE VIEW, STAY FOR THE EXPERIENCE!

Great location: 10-15 min walk to the old city
Spectacular view: My husbnd and I stayed at a old city / river view room
Great restaurant in the Looby: we arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm, didn’t have much option for late dinner. We had ‘Beef Cheek’ and ‘Black Cod’ at Cabu. Food was amazing! We loved food so much, went back to their grab & go/ coffee bar after we checked out.
Other things: Nice to have Nespresso machine and Crabtree amenities

The location is a little far out about a 10 minute walk to the old town downtown. Would not be so bad in the summer but we came during an ice storm and the sidewalks were not the most walkable and it was hard to get a cab on the weekend. But the hotel itself is very nice, the pool and spa were great. The rooms were large and had good amenities.

The staff here are extemporary, some of the best I have come across, including within top hotels. They were all professional, polite, friendly and helpful, all smiles and nothing was too much trouble. Advice on tourist spots, directions, where the locals eat etc was all given without prompting. We wanted a kettle for the room, they provided a flask to fill with hot water. Luggage was carried for us. Each and every one was constantly smiling. Catherine in particular was fantastic. Elevator not working (stairs with large suitcases was not good) Location: Need a taxi or 2 buses or 30 minutes (uphill) walk from Old Quebec. Pizza restaurant next door, Subway and local pub on Corner and supermarket just down road. Room. Clean and tidy. Housekeeping not available due to Covid (which didn't make sense - surely Covid a reason to be cleaner!) A little on small side. Breakfast - disappointing. Kitchen closed due to Covid still (although many others now open). An apple, Croissant & carton orange juice in a bag left a lot to be desired. Parking at the back (although we didn't use it). Swimming pool - not the best but perfectly adequate, warm (once you were in) and clean. Towels provided. Room, facilities and staff, yes I would use again - its value for money. Location put me off.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting old quebec. If you can manage an easy 10 minute drive into old quebec, this place is ideally located. In a quiet, nice, clean neighborhood it has great facilities to hand. There are gas station, Tim's and local store within walking distance, and lots iv great restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and clean and quiet....I got the impression we were the only one in there! Downsides....the staff were somewhat matter of fact at reception, no info about spa, Cafe etc, just here's your keys, sign here. We stayed in what looks to be a new addition to the hotel and the elevator can only be described as the slowest in Canada, I get it, it's a disabled use friendly one, but be prepared to wait for it! The stairs are not an option when you have heavy suitcases.

We stayed here just as Covid restrictions were starting to lift. We were in town for a family funeral. There were very few people staying at the hotel. We arrived an hour before check-in and asked if we could access our room to change for the funeral and were told no. This was disappointing. The parking lot was almost empty so we felt pretty sure that a room could have been made available for us to change. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway and next to a Tim Horton’s. We paid $89 and stayed in an upgraded room in the renovated section. Another family member stayed in the older section and they were disappointed with their room. Mattress and pillow were ok, nothing special Room was clean. We would recommend for a short stay only.

Issues: - No hot water in a room on the 6th floor. The hotel moved me to the right underneath, and still no hot water. The hotel manager called to offer me an upgrade to a bigger room on the 7th floor, but no guarantee having hot water. I declined because it's not solving the issue and I've already settled in. I said if she could first go check to ensure there is a hot shower in the room, they planned to move me to, then I never heard back. - Water marks on TV counter and also on the desk where the lamp is. - WiFi is not Hilton Honors, but Hilton Guest, similar issues to that of Marriott’s: still showing unsecured network with Novotel being the WiFi login landing page instead of Hilton Honors. - The room was dark, only with one light. Positives: - staff was polite One of rare hotels that the housekeeping did an excellent job. Unfortunately, it's unsatisfactory due to lack of hot shower, which is part of standard expected service, and the main reason for 2 out of 5 rating. Had it provided hot shower (not cold nor warm, but hot), this hotel would have earned at least 4 or 4.5 star rating.
We're five minutes from Quebec City Jean-Lesage Airport (YQB), A-40, and A-73. Restaurants and a movie theater are within one kilometer. Companies at Technology Park, Olympus, and Glaxo Smith Kline are only four kilometers away. The Aquarium of Quebec and Laurier Quebec Mall are seven kilometers from us. Enjoy our indoor pool. Parking, breakfast, and WiFi are free.

The arrival at the hotel started badly with a young receptionist full of germs she kept spreading in her tissue and around (as if we did not just get out of a pandemic that showed us how far any virus can travel) and she started laughing at me in French (assuming that I do not speak over 10 languages including French) saying that I want a room taken by another customer: how rude of her to assume that. The older manager thankfully intervened and the room we checked in via the app was given to us, explaining to the manager, however sick from the road I was, that we did not want something extraordinary: - the room had the lines of the newly built hotels we stayed in the USA and just like in the USA, this room proved to have poor insulation between rooms, slamming doors and the trepidation noises on the hallways to make stuff vibrate in the room. Thankfully everything stopped soon after 10pm and we had a good night sleep only disturbed by the construction next door the following morning, however quiet those people were trying to operate their machinery - parking at the back of the hotel is safe and thankfully Google satellite helped us immensely with travelling to and from Quebec City trying to avoid the major road works happening just about everywhere - the hotel is located near a major shopping area and a Walmart great with icecreams and drinks we always like having - breakfast at the hotel included warm items and it was varied although people kept taking multiple tables to sit and talk: I guess the lower floors were rather busy since we hardly heard any talk up our floor - the manager was kind in thinking of sending a warm up gift, although I wish the young female receptionist would receive further training and stopped assuming things she wanted to assume about customers who effectively pay her salary

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe location was a big decision in choosing this hotel and it did not disappoint! It is literally in the center of everything and steps away from sights, shopping, restaurants but also away from the noise of bus loads of tourists. The security of the hotel was a great bonus as a solo female traveler! Staff was friendly, the rooms/common areas were always spotless and the decor makes this place a unique spot for sure. I simply loved it and will absolutely be back.
Wonderful stay - the property is as charming as it is convenient. We had the studio with kitchen on the ground floor. The back door opened right to our private parking space so it was really easy to get around. Everything was spotless and well appointed. We checked out the terrace but of course it was cold and covered in snow. It’s sure to be wonderful during warmer months. The guest portal is very helpful. This was our first visit to Quebec City and our son’s first visit out of the US - this made a terrific first impression! There are restaurants and shops up and down the street. We would definitely book again in the future. Thanks especially to Jade, who was consistently patient with my questions!
RRUIThe hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.
GGuest UserHotel parking is very convenient. We drive by car. So there is no sense of distance. I feel that the location is not far. Nice hotel. The front desk is very nice. The room is large. The bed is also comfortable.
GGuest UserIt was a short stay to visit Quebec City during the holiday week, and we had a good experience. The hotel staff were very attentive, and I was delighted that they upgraded our room and had free breakfast for two during our entire stay. Service was fast and they answered some of our questions related to commuting. The location is great as it is in the street filled with restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies. Will choose this location again when we come back to Quebec.
CCalgaryParentsUpon arriving in our room on the ground floor, we found it to be quite hot. However, we thought that maybe the A/C had been turned off, so we turned it on and hoped that it would cool off. We set off to explore a bit. On our return, the room seemed even hotter, and we had a night of very little sleep due to extreme heat. The air conditioning was letting out a tiny bit of cool air that could only be felt by lying on one side of one of the beds. In the morning, we contacted the off site staff, and said that the air conditioning appeared to not be working properly, and stated that we had experienced an awful night of no sleep. We asked if they could at least find a fan, and have somebody look at the unit. We were told that they would look for a fan. By late afternoon, my son, walked back to the hotel for a nap, and the room was unbearable. There was no fan delivered. When the rest of us returned, we were shocked with the heat, and literally sat with cold cloths on our heads attempting to keep ourselves cool. We immediately tried to contact the off site staff again. Response was slow, and when we finally heard back, we were told that they couldn’t find a fan. My husband said that there was no way that we could stay in the room with the temperature the way it was, and asked would they be able to move us. The lady we spoke to said she would call back in 5 minutes to either change rooms, or move us to one of their other properties. Great we thought. However, no phone call came, only a text to say that they couldn’t move us anywhere and that they could refund us but could be of no further help. Although we appreciated the refund, the hotel had all day to deal with this issue, but couldn’t even find a fan. This left us, on our vacation, spending time trying to relocate. Thank God we found somewhere, but we specifically chose the St. Pierre due to its location, and we are now considerably further away. I rate this hotel 2/10 for customer service. They were not quick to respond, and we felt they should have called us back and offered a personal apology rather than a terse text of “so sorry”. Would definitely not stay again
JJenny Kim1I liked the hotel location and facilities. The indoor pool was amazing and the live stage was so good. I would definitely visit here again and book the terrace view next time.
However, there are few things that I was very dissapointed.
The room was not managed well. There are white things are around the floors (it looks like painting or wall paper. I asked to change the room, but the new room has the same problem).
Hair dryer was phsically broken and not working.
Heater is not working and when I turn on, it is very noisy.
There was a party when we stayed and it was very noisy until almost 1 pm. We called at 12:30 and the reception said they send a security. However, it was still noisy after 30 mins).
EExplore64643342314My family of 4 stayed in this hotel for 3 days. Yes, it's an old and dated hotel, but the room was OK, sheets were clean, free parking, free breakfast with plenty of choices (buffet with items served on demand by the hotel staff), warm pool to dip into after a long day in the City - all in all, it met our expectations. 15 min direct bus ride to downtown Quebec, direct bus to Montmorency Falls, easy access to major roads for out-of-town travellers. Very few TV channels in English, most are in French, but we did not come to Quebec City to watch TV. The only real complaint is that WiFi was unreliable - fast at one point, complete out the next. But overall, it is a pretty solid offering for price-conscious travellers.
