We stayed in the room with a jacuzzi bath in it. I can't for the life of me remember why I booked this one. I'm sure I didn't think the bathtub would be in the middle of the room and take up so much space. We didn't use it and it made taking a shower very awkward. I stubbed my toe 3 times on it, once very hard and the toe was a nice shade of black and blue for weeks! The bed was too soft for me but perect for my wife. Room was on the 3rd floor, no elevator. Breakfast was nice, but nothing but carbs. Owner has a quirky sense of humor that took a while to get used to. Location was nice and quiet. Nice pizza place a block away. Other restaurants a few blocks toward the water and several up the hill ( steep in places ). To see the main attratons, go down to the water and continue around to the right. See the lower town and then either walk or take the funicular up to the Terrasse.

After sending me an Invoice and Confirmation number for our 4 night stay during my Mother's 80yr.old Birthday and having spoken to my wife back in June,GERALD JEAN simply CANCELLED the last minute & said there was no ROOM Available the day before our travel in July, when I sent him a text !!! He gave no explanation & didn't honor the Invoice or the Confirmation he sent!!! Very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We would have been stranded in Quebec City!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE !!!

We were booked to spend four nights at this property. But we were unable to use it due to Covid. Our documents said we could cancel within 7 days. We called 8 days before and the property manager was UNBELIEVABLY rude!!! I could NOT believe that someone running a business would be so rude. AND he refused to refund us. We had googled reviews and they were good. But after this happened, we looked more carefully and saw that almost every review comments on this person's obnoxious, disrespectful, rude behaviour. Since we didn't actually get there, we didn't get to experience the actual property, but most reviews say it was terrible. Keep looking. Don't go here!!!!!!! I wanted to give it zero, but one is the lowest rating!!

Hôtel idéalement placé dans Québec. Quartier calme. Chambre originale. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et excellents avec des produits frais. Le gérant est très sympa même s'il manie l'humour caustique. Toujours prêt à rendre service. Bel endroit !

We stayed at the place over Christmas 2022. The reason we had picked it up was that there was a suite [2 bedrooms with kitchen], breakfast included and just outside the walled city. The total experience was very average. Location: Good location, just outside the walls and good for walking the inner city. Rooms: Had WiFi, The rooms had 2 Queen beds and there was a pull down bed in the living area. The beds were very comfortable, had very good pillows and comforters. All rooms are 2nd or 3rd floor, no elevator and Stairs are very narrow and steep. 2 people cannot even squeeze past. Luckily we were just one flight of stairs as hauling luggage was a nightmare. Bathroom: Had a good shower tub and nice clean towels. Had a decent big mirror over the sink. Kitchen: Electric stovetop, a medium sized fridge, a small microwave, seating for 4 and big size TV. Needs a few pots/pans and spatulas to be really useful. Breakfast: Fresh Coffee/Tea, Fresh Fruit bowl, 1 Croissant, 1 Small Chocolate Danish, a crepe, Yogurt, syrup and strawberry preserve. Same menu every day. Parking: $25/2 days, Offsite, on the next street in an open lot, if available or find something else. The lobby is always dark and is just a dump of odds and ends. It was a small theater with stage and lights and could have a real good ambience to just hang out or eat breakfast. This place has lot of potential and can easily be much, much better to stay. For now, Its is a 1 man show and he has his fixed ways. Sadly everything has a run-down look and feel.

Room acceptable for a 2 or 3 star. Difficult to regulate the shower. We've traveled a lot and have always treated people with respect and courtesy and have always been treated the same. Sadly, this was not the case at this place. The owner/manager chose to ignore us when we asked to use a washroom while checking in. After asking politely several times, we ended up having to use our room once he finally checked us in. He told us breakfast was at 8:00 AM, We arrived at 8:04 and he was angry we were too early? We asked for a coffee refill, he said we weren't finished and refused to serve us more until our cup was empty. As a result, we skipped the "included" breakfast and went elsewhere the next two days of our stay. No one else in Quebec City was rude and condescending to us. Other than this guy, our trip was Lovely. We are a mixed race couple and we can't help but wonder if that was a problem for him.

My parents booked/paid in advance to stay here for 3 nights while a trip to Quebec City. When they arrived, Gerald Jean was extremely rude to them- informing them that he had canceled their reservation and booked my parents room to someone else at a higher rate all the while keeping my parents funds as well. My parents were left stranded in Canada and left to find somewhere else to stay last minute. The lobby was very disorderly, dirty, and there were piles of crap everywhere. Not somewhere anyone would want to stay. I would not recommend booking here at all- avoid a scam and a dirty hotel.
