Aquashow Park Hotel

I went alone but never bored. I had a late check in and everything was spot on. I communicated with the hotel about my flight change and quick response they booked me a taxi which was there waiting at weeee hours of the morning. The cleanliness was %100 rooms clean I cannot fault. I enjoyed the bus ride, the Uber was ok. The area was quiet if anyone looking for closeness but the taxi price was good. There was so much to do. My last day went to the spa over by the aqua park OMG it was rejuvenating only thing was you have to pay with a discount if you are staying at the hotel., for 2 hours 25 euros I think it can be a little cheaper for hotel guest. But I am not one to complain it is a kids friendly hotel so expect to hear kids running around planning to bring my grandkids next time, I know they will enjoy it. Breakfast was ok, ate outside for dinner there is so much place to choose from. Just a Uber ride away. A big shout out to Bruno very good cocktail and he gave me tips of places to eat out side. Thank you
Hotel Quarteirasol

We recently stayed at Hotel Quarteirasol in Faro, Portugal and our overall experience was mixed. The location of the hotel was definitely a plus, as it was close to the beach and there were several restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The breakfast was decent and there was a good variety of dishes to choose from. The front desk staff weren't always as friendly as we'd hoped, while some staff were friendly, others were a bit curt and didn't seem interested in answering questions. Also, it was not possible to check in earlier than 3:00 PM, even if the room was already ready. The room itself was quite basic, but had some positives. The shower had a good strong jet, which was definitely a plus. The mattress of the bed was also comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep, the pillows were unfortunately less comfortable. We were not bothered by noise, which was also a plus. A TV with smart cast was also available. The room was clean, but there was nothing special about the decor or furnishings. All in all, we would recommend Hotel Quarteirasol if you are looking for an affordable hotel close to the beach and restaurants. However, keep in mind that the room is quite basic and that the front desk staff is not always friendly.
Vila Gale Marina

Lovely hotel x very clean x up to date x comfy beds and pillows x spacious room x We had a Sea view room x great location x 3 minutes away from the beach x opposite the marina x lots of shops x Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel x mc Donald’s 2’mins walk x supermarket in reach x Thai restaurant down the road also x watching the sunrise/sunset was beautiful. Only thing I fault is the food, we did half board and it wasn’t worth it at all. Very basic food every single day
Luna Olympus

Free parking behind the hotel, enter the car park next to the McDonald's drive through. Limited spaces. Parking on the pavement will get you a €30 fine. Walking distance to the marina, beach and plenty of restraunts, pubs and some supermarkets. Kitchen in the apartment is an induction cooker, microwave and a kettle. Some cutlery and cooking utensils provided. Buffet breakfast is some cold cuts, cheese, sliced oranges, melons and kiwi fruit, yoghurt, cereals, scrambled, sunny Side up and boiled eggs. Baked beans, saugages, bacon mushrooms and roasted tomato with cheese. Portugese egg tarts, raisin danishes, chocolate rolls, apple turnovers. White bread, wholemeal bread, croissants and some rolls with butter and some jams available. 3 Small lifts they can fit 2 persons with suitcases. Lighting mostly adequate in the rooms amd living area except for the bathroom which was too dark. Nice balcony area. In the evenings, it was cooler to open the doors than rely on the air conditioner.
Dom Pedro Marina

When we read reviews we were a bit unsure of our choice. We arrived on the 15th September our room was not available to 2 pm so we had some lunch in the hotel which was good. Our room 212 was perfect except for one small issue with the floor in the sitting area. We were offered to moved but declined due to the location and size of the room. The Housekeepers serviced the room everyday. Bed was so so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent plenty of everything hot or cold. The staff were excellent and friendly. We were always able to get a sun lounger. We chose Bed and Breakfast as we wanted to eat out and such a selection of restaurants. Highly recommend O’Neills Irish Bar food was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay at a lovely traditional Portuguese Hotel. We will be back again very soon.
Dom Pedro Portobelo

My partner and I had an excellent 10 nights at Dom Pedro Portobello at the end of September. The 1 bedroom sea view apartment felt huge! The furniture/decor and utensils in the kitchinette/living room and bedroom were a little dated in style but in great condition. The bathroom was more modern, plenty of space, big mirror with plenty of light, great shower. Decent sized pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols (all that towel out early stuff isn't allowed - appreciated). We never spent any time in the bar area, but very much enjoyed the one evening meal we had at the restaurant - my swordfish main was particularly tasty. We had breakfast included which we were very happy with, even after 9 of them!. I'll call out the pasteis de nata, fresh watermelon/melon/pineapple, and surprisingly good scrambled eggs as highlights. Amazingly friendly, flexible, and helpful staff - at reception, in the restaurant, and room cleaning. Our last morning was a very early exit and they kindly arranged a packed breakfast for us to go. We never got a chance to use it but we were told it's possible to access a spa at a neighbouring Dom Pedro hotel. The location is good, 5 min walk to either the beach or marina. Vilamoura we found a little pricier than the more Portuguese/less touristy Algarve towns like Faro, Loule, Tavira, but still cheaper than the UK. There's plenty of good food and drink options - especially all the fresh seafood. We would happily return here in the future.
