I booked a twin room for two adults and one child. I read on the hotel's official website that children under 12 years old can use existing beds for free, so I booked the room. After booking, I received a message from Ctrip that each child would have to pay an additional 70 euros. Since the hotel showed that the order could not be cancelled, I still checked in.
As a result, I was charged 260 euros on the spot and was forced to upgrade to a room that was not bigger. The sofa was changed into a bed.
The hardware facilities were old and you could only stand in the bathtub to take a bath. It was a very old room for more than 4,000 a night. You couldn't use towels in the swimming pool and had to pay for towels separately. The breakfast was very unfriendly to Asians. It was a pure European breakfast. At the same time, the breakfast chairs were wet because it rained the day before, which made it very cold.
It is recommended that all Asian people do not check in.
ps, because of the forced room upgrade, I contacted Ctrip for communication. Ctrip's attitude was positive and finally gave me an additional 10 euros.

We are writing this review as we have a one more beautiful lunch date before setting off home. We have nothing bad to say about crowne plaza. We honestly had such an amazing holiday. Everything from staff, pool, breakfast, location and cleanliness was amazing. Our first trip to Vilamoura and we would come back to stay at the crowne plaza in a heartbeat. We are so sad to be leaving. If you are considering booking do it!!!! You will have a lovely holiday here

Great 3 night stay at the hotel. Right on the beach with direct access, and a large space with loads of loungers on the grounds of the hotel. It was around a 20 min walk to the marina. We had breakfast included and there was a large selection to choose from.

Been to Vilamoura several times over the last 20 years but first time at Crowne Plaza. Everything was exceptional from arrival / check in procedure throughout the holiday. Rooms were amazing and the hotel was spotless throughout and around the pool. Restaurant offered a great selection for breakfast.

Nice hotel. Food good, pool good. Very clean. But a couple of bad things. They have a rule about unattended towels on sun loungers . They don’t enforce the 45 minute rule so every morning, the towels are out on the sun loungers but no one in them until late morning. But the worst experience is they have a thief on the staff. My AirPods Max were stolen from my room on my last day. As they have a built in air tag I can see they are still in Vilamoura but at a different hotel. I reported the theft to front desk and the police came. As I was checking out that morning I had to go to the police station in my way to the airport and make a report. The hotel as expected are denying the theft as I have no evidence. What evidence can I produce since I was not in the room when the theft took place. The thief will Continue to take things from other guests.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza Vilamoura. Had two high up ajoining rooms that were comfortable, clean, and quiet. Think the rooms must be soundproofed because we never heard any noise at nighttime. Breakfast was really good with loads of choice and freshly prepared food. The restaurant was spacious and never got too busy, so it was a relaxing start to the day. We had lunch in the hotel on two occasions, in a restaurant near the pool. Again, there was plenty of choice, the portions sizes were generous, and the food was fabulous. What really made the hotel stand out for us was the staff who worked there. Each and every one of them did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything they did for us was done with a smile. We look forward to going back again soon.

I love this hotel for location, close to Vilamoura and Quarteria and on the beach. Lovely welcome, great room for 2 people, really clean and fab pool. Loads of sun loungers. This is my fourth time returning and one thing I’ve noted is that the umbrellas are getting shabby. Lots of torn ones with holes. Many were missing or not in operation. I think for a 5 star hotel in peak season you’d expect more. I come back mainly because of location and since I come on my own with my child I feel comfortable. This time I booked really late and was pretty much screwed by the price per night-€500 without breakfast. I know it’s peak but I think it’s not worth that much a night. I use points I’d built up to bring the price down.
