Great location,great service special mention to Rachel for amazing customer service

We had an amazing 2 nights stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly and really couldn't do enough for us. We loved the bird watching with Roni and the kids had a great time doing the 9 section zip line with Roni and Carlos. The home cooked food was excellent and the location in the jungle just amazing. We got transport to get there but you can get an A/C bus Floralia from Belize City to drop you at Bocawina Junction and they will pick you up from there. The only downside is that the beautiful suite was too hot to sleep very well as there is no A/C, but they do have lots of fans. Best thing is to leave the windows open (they have netting over them) so you get some cooler air coming in. From our teenage son: 'It was amazing, I loved it!!!'

Gorgeous room and property, and the Resteraunt has amazing food. However everything else about this place is an absolute joke. No AC in the room in 2025 when mini splits and even window units exist, is unacceptable in a climate like Belize, especially at this resorts price point. The lady at the front desk was very rude and condescending. They used the same product as body wash in the shower and handsoap in the bathroom sink, not to mention not including shampoo and conditioner- again, embarrassing for a hotel claiming to be luxurious. Their website claims every stay includes 3 meals a day, this is a lie, and simply entrapment, to get you to pay for the overpriced food they claimed was included with EVERY stay, they know you can’t go anywhere else, given their abhorrent dirt road into the property (other dirt roads we’ve traveled on during our trip have been very well maintained) and can’t starve. No mini fridge in the room is a joke, I’ve stayed in budget hotels with a fridge. On top of all of that, they can’t even waive the national park fee for those staying on the property…. Honestly, I could go on and on about how awful this place is but I’ll leave it at stay as far away from this place as you possibly can, worst hotel of the trip by far, and possibly one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at. If I could leave lower than a 1 star, I would.

I read a lot about Bocawina before traveling to Belize, and I thought I knew what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations by far. Bocawina is an amazing place! It’s stunningly beautiful, the accommodations are very nice, the food is tasty, and there is so much opportunity for adventure. I stayed at Bocawina a few days, traveled to Tobacco Caye, and then I came back to Bocawina for a few more days unexpectedly. I enjoyed a guided group hike with Emilio to Antelope Falls, and I hiked to several other waterfalls on my own. I was lucky enough to have a private bird walk with Herson, two night walks with Israel, and another daytime hike with Israel. The absolute best part of Bocawina is the staff. Kayla and Teo were wonderful and made sure I was taken care of well. Miss Jen is a great chef and was so friendly. Rhea is a beautiful soul- she taught me much about Belizean culture and she was lovely company at meals. The guides were *fantastic* - kind and very knowledgeable. Herson taught me lots about plants and birds, and he was so personable. Israel taught me lots about the culture and wildlife; his humor and kindness made me feel comfortable on the hikes, and he was very professional. I can’t say enough good things about Bocawina. Thanks for such a memorable experience, and I will be back soon!

Safe, clean and great staff.

I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff! Such a lovely group of people! Our room was clean and comfortable. LOVED the sound of the jungle critters day and night. Had some heavy rain moments, but it was refreshing and beautiful. Easy access to hiking trails with spectacular jungle views and waterfalls. The zip line was one of a kind! Highly recommend this resort for those looking for a jungle experience. Important tip: bug spray is a must! There are little black flies called botless flies that take a bite that is noticed but not painful, but the itching is irritating for days! Other than that, absolutely wonderful!
