It was a temporary decision. It was an hour away to Dongdaihe. I found this five-good store by fate. 1. It's in the community of Shanhai Tongwan, and the location is easy to find! Convenient parking! The environment is also very good! When I checked in, I booked a twin bed, and they were very considerate and moved me to a room with a king bed where I could watch the sunrise! Xiaobao is very happy! !

Budget hotel, the hardware and service are comparable to 5 stars, the room is large, the equipment and facilities are very new. The room is very clean and has no odor, the bed sheets are clean and new, the shower is very comfortable, the WFI is very fast, and it is very fast to download large files. Great. Very good B&B. Super close to the beach. Clean and tidy. There is a large and clean restaurant where you can cook your own meals. Book breakfast one day in advance. The breakfast is delicious. The super big buns are especially delicious. You can eat until you are full. 😁

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here. The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian. Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away. Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

For a room booked in advance, on the day of arrival, the hotel had already turned on the electric heater in the room in advance, which was very heart-warming. The hotel is clean and the facilities in the room are of high quality. The staff are attentive and have a good attitude. It makes you feel like you are home. You can park in front of the door, and the hotel also has a parking lot, which is free. Traveling by car is very convenient.

It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。

View from the window is disgusting, a lot of garbage on the streets out there, box houses, feels like a ghetto. Working table and some surfaces were full of dust. At the same time the staff is very polite. There were some problems at checin with passports verification, and room key become disabled at some point. So staff helped with these. Breakfast was ok, not strong varied, but tasty and hearthy. At night main entrance is closed, you'll need to use sideway entrance (follow near 24/7 label)

The store is friendly, the house has a high floor and a good view, parking in the community is convenient, and it's quiet at night. The room has everything you need. The big bed is very comfortable, the balcony is spacious, and the front desk answers all your questions.
