I'm going to give the hotel an overall 4, start of the week would of been 3.5 but its grown on me. I was expecting off reviews a not so great week but I'd payed extra for renovated room and it's was truly 5 star. The staff bar one were amazing and quite genuine I felt really welcome. The grounds and pools keep you interested all week as such variety although cemented rocks in pools are lethal. The bars are lively and well run. Quality of drinks pretty good. Start of week wouldn't return but the saviour was fusion resteraunt. I tried their Al a carter's which are resteraunt in mall I think they give so much to them when you use them. Lebanese and Indian small portions and nothing special. The Thai was nice. All of these you need to pay for drinks. However fusion Al a carte in hotel was amazing 5 courses ample wine that was premium and a true wine glass. I then booked this for rest of week.Last day I did try the hot breakfast it was awful the morning selection is dire unless you love cakes and pastries, tbh the whole buffet thing is poor quality I hope it improves as I will come back its such a friendly place compared to others been to in Egypt it makes the holiday. I thought be tough to be makadi Spa where went few weeks back but I never got bored here being on my own. The buffet is your typical buffet no real choice fruit or salads just basic with burnt scrambled eggs and 1 coffee machine for both resteraunt. That's a big let down as I like healthy food n good coffee. HoweverI'm going to give the hotel an overall 4, start of the week would of been 3.5 but its grown on me. We arrived on the 27th, booked through Blue Bay travel. I was a bit nervous following reading some low star reviews but was assured we have a recently renovated new room. I requested a room close to reception prior to arriving as have a 3 month old baby and did have a pushchair, we were a short walk to the main restaurants, first pool, reception and shops, and although up one flight of stairs was given a really lovely clean room. Our housekeeper was friendly and ensured all our needs were met, and I was even given a cake on my birthday in my room. My daughter had a great first holiday. Reception staff Ahmed Mansour was amazing and kept us informed about everything. You do only get free WiFi in the lobby - paid for everywhere else and the entertainment could be a bit better in the evenings but everything else was just perfect. Thank you!

I visited The Grand Hotel in May, but I’ve only just found time to write this review – better late than never! We had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed the hotel. A special thank you to Issam at reception for upgrading us to a sea-view room – the view was absolutely stunning! Also, a big shout-out to our rep Mohammed (aka Roger Federer – he’ll know what that means!). The hotel itself is lovely, with beautiful pool areas and a beach set on a cliff, perfect for snorkeling. The food is what you’d typically expect from an all-inclusive resort – plenty of variety and something for everyone. The location is brilliant! Naama Bay is just a 12–15 minute taxi ride away, and other great spots like Farsha Café and Sharm El Maya are also easy to reach by taxi. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. In fact, we loved it so much that we’ve already booked to come back in mid-September

Very nice hotel. From the moment of our arrival the reception team welcomed us in a very warm way with nice smile we felt at home. Too many pools. Big selection of food. Rooms were clean and big. It is value of money. All the staff very kind.

We arrived here yesterday and was impressed by how beautiful the hotel is. Then we got to reception and the trouble started. I’m disabled and we had requested a ground floor room, and paid for an upgraded room, but apparently they had no record of any of that, so we could have a room which was up two flights of stairs, or a different room up five flights of stairs, the lift is not working we were told. We messaged our travel agent, the fabulous Nicola at Harris travel, who said it certainly had been booked as requested. Reception then said as we had a late arrival they would open a restaurant especially for us, even though there were five people already in there. Back at reception, we could have the room or not, that’s all they have, they insisted the hotel is full, it’s quite obviously not! Another guest was walking past and interjected to the reception guy that he shouldn’t speak to my wife like that, he was being quite rude. At this point we had been at it for three hours and it was the early hours of the morning, so we decided two flights were better than five, took the key and set off to our allocated room, only to get outside and see out suitcases had been left outside reception. My wife went back to reception to be told they should have been taken to the room but the person who does that has gone home. We were left to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs, upon arrival I just collapsed on the bed. In the morning we went to see the manager, who had been told by his staff that we had been offered a ground floor room but had refused and we had chosen to take our suitcases ourselves, totally untrue but the manager insisted that’s what happened as that’s what he had been told. We wasn’t asking for much, just what we had booked and paid extra for, but no other rooms are available he insisted. The manager was having non of it and said we were the problem, but in three days we could have a ground floor room, that’s all there is to it. My wife informed him that’s if that’s the case we would move hotel, his attitude changed a little then and suddenly, despite being told the hotel is full and there are no ground floor rooms, there was a ground floor room available! We moved to the new room relieved that it had been sorted but weary that if that’s the way we are going to be treated, it’s not going to be a pleasant stay. There are stairs everywhere as the hotel is on a cliff, but we can choose to use them and go to the beach, or not use them and stay by a pool. we don’t have a choice to go up stairs if our room is up there. The room cleaned saw us and introduced himself, he was really lovely, if he he’d been in reception I doubt there would have been a problem. This is our twenty first holiday to Egypt, we have never had such rude and unhelpful staff as there are here. Despite this hotels beauty we will not come here again, and if you don’t like being spoken down to, you should look elsewhere for a holiday.
