This trip took place during Ramadan, and it wasn't our first time staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, things felt different—and not in a good way. When we got out of the car, there was no concierge or staff member to greet or assist us. We had to carry all our luggage ourselves (four pieces), along with my family—which included my 80-year-old mother, a 4-year-old child, and my wife.
To our surprise, the main reception area was closed due to renovations. A temporary, much smaller reception desk had been set up, staffed by just two employees. While they were polite and check-in was processed quickly (since everything was prepaid), the atmosphere was far from what we had previously experienced.
Upon entering our apartment, we turned on the air conditioning, only to be met with a wave of dust that caused sneezing. The rooms, and the apartment overall, lacked the cleanliness and welcoming feel we remembered from past visits. I couldn’t settle in, so I returned to the reception to express my concerns. Fortunately, Mr. Lerry was very kind and understanding, and after checking the condition of the apartment, he arranged for us to be moved to another unit, which was in better condition.
Despite Mr. Lerry’s efforts, the experience left us disappointed. The property no longer lives up to its five-star rating. There is a clear need for room renovations, improved cleanliness, and more attentive service.
One positive note was the early breakfast offering (4:00–6:00 am) during Ramadan, which was appreciated. However, this alone cannot make up for the shortcomings.
Most concerning was the condition of the kids' pool—it was extremely dirty, and I didn’t feel comfortable allowing my child to use it. It’s disheartening to see the hotel standards decline so drastically. I genuinely hope management takes these issues seriously.
Regrettably, I don't think I will be returning
