Larica Holiday Inn Puri

Our stay in larica holiday inn, booked through makemytrip, was splendid with a bunch of great service providers. The hotel was quite neat clean. Makemytrip served us well in the booking procedure!happy with their service!

Behavious and service of staffs are homely. Food quality is good and food price is competitive. But room quality and maintenance is too bad. Even door mats are dirty. Water heater does not work. Bathrooms are dirty.

We booked 3 rooms for 4 nights for 6adults & 1 kid. It was a long weekend stay around independence day. They took more booking than they could handle. The entry area is dirty (littered by adjacent areas i guess, spoiling the mood at the time of the entry itself. In 1 room ac wasn't working. They took 12 hours & 5-6 follow ups to get it fixed. The telecom wasn't working in 2 of the rooms. The bedsheet had stains. Towels (***** with soaps for handwash) were not given till late evening though we checked in by 9am. There were hardly any folks at the reception through out the day even for follow up as they were too short of manpower to deal with similar type of complaints coming from most of the rooms. I went to the cooking area for some special instructions for my toddler (as no one picked up my phone for the same. The area isn't too clean. After seeing that we avoided eating from the hotel for the following days. May be it was the super rush that they couldn't handle, but in that case they shouldn't have taken so many bookings. We go to puri pretty often (4times in last 5 years) but this is the worst hotel experience till now. It was anniversary celebration for my parents and it was half ruined due to the hotel experience.

Good location. Good food by the restaurant. Maintenance needs to be improved.

Lack of maintenance is the main issue. Ac didn't work the whole night. Next day they changed the room. Otherwise food was good. The behaviour of staff was good.

The rooms are good. The doors of the washroom can't be closed from outside. View, location and balcony is very good. Tv is not working properly. The intercom is connected and answered every time. But they ignore the request sometimes. The best thing about this hotel is food. They prepare and serve the best bengali food at a very reasonable price. I must admit that the food is awesome here. The manager is very helpfull. The staff are also good & helpful but they forgot about some requests or ignored them. Cleaners are directly asking for tip & never comeback for cleaning after providing a tip.
