The premise is that our standards, especially hygiene, are really different from those found in Malaysia. Unfortunately, of all the hotels we visited, which were carefully chosen, the cleanliness was poor and I fear that in Redang the average resort level is this (leaving aside super expensive structures). Overall, a nice resort with an outside. Cockroach in the room during the second night, the next day they put mobile mosquito nets in my room. Happy with their solution, but I fear they know there is a cockroach problem and only equip the rooms on request. Buffet food - strictly Chinese - passable, but unrealistic times (such as dinner ending at 8.30 pm and breakfast at 9 am). Everything is regulated according to the needs of the Chinese clientele, predominant in the resort. Trips with hordes of Chinese, I recommend booking independently. The ones they include last half the expected time, the rest is used to put all the hordes on the boats: Not recommended for those who can't adapt. I give it three stars considering their average benchmark, but by our standards it would be a poor two stars.
