Chez Manany Galapagos Ecolodge

What a fantastic place and very accommodating hosts! Best place we stayed in the Galapagos. Close to the dock for tours and Concha de Perla for snorkeling on your own but calm and quiet. Easy walk to town and has two bicycles to use for short trips to the grocery store. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Chez Manany and highly recommend this guesthouse as a base camp for your explorations on Isla Isabella. This is a beautifully designed eco-conscious guesthouse with one suite in the main house and apartments in the extended structures. Our apartment had two large bedrooms: one master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and another large bedroom. Both had king-size beds, and balconies with hammocks. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had some basics like olive oil, salt and pepper, sugar, etc. The upper floors have amazing views of the island. Chez Manany is located just steps from the ferry and just outside of the main town. Its super quiet and peaceful. It’s also a five minute walk to an amazing mangrove lagoon where you can snorkel with sea turtles, sea lions and iguanas. They have bicycles to run into town for supplies, but the walk into is only 10 minutes to get to restaurants, bars, the beach, etc. We enjoyed stocking the fridge with fresh coffee, fruit and bread from town but mostly ate dinner out. Manany is a fantastic host. Knowledgeable, kind and super responsive to anything we needed. If you’re going to Isabella, I highly recommend Chez Manany!

The guesthouse is close to the port and Concha de la perla and within biking distance to the town. We stayed in an apartment on the ground floor with big living room combined with bedroom and kitchen. It felt like a very big and well kept apartment with lots of windows. The only downside is that you can´t blackout the room with curtains or drapes. The bikes, wich you can borrow free of charge is not in the best condition but adequate for its purpose.

Great place to stay. There is a fridge and filtered water. The house was clean, the grounds were well taken care. It was close to the pier. Manany, our host, was a salt of the earth kind of person. She was very lovely and made our stay nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything is excellent except it is a bit far - 10/15 walk to town…was good for me.
