Cala Nova Apartamentos

One of the worst hotels I have been too.. Don't get me wrong it was clean and basic but the prices for food and drink was extortionate ....£14 euro for a breakfast!¡!!.. Maybe if they lowered the prices more people would eat from the bar.. The shop on Site was something else. The English took over from the German s with the towels on the loungers first thing in the morning before they went into the centre shopping then came back to sunbathe after 3/4 hours..

The apartments are very clean and spacious for 2 with a large balcony which sees the sun most of the day and comes with amazing views The pool is quite small but we never had a problem getting a sun bed. The location is excellent within 5 min of the shopping centre and less than a 10 min walk to the beach or Mogan mall The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The cleaners especially, work hard to keep the complex and apartments tidy. I would certainly recommend the apartments if you're looking for a self catering holiday.

The best thing about this hotel is the balcony. It's is large and the view at night is magical. There are minor changes that would make for a more pleasant stay.Needs a better shower screen,a bathroom fan and more plug sockets. The immediate area is very lots of steps and I would not recommend to young families with push chairs or people with mobility issues or breathing difficulties. Bar food limited to pizza and burgers and chips but that reflects the whole resort.They don't really do salad! Staff helpful. No maid service for 3 days but reception gave us clean towels when we asked. Complex is clean.

have been using the cala nova for a long time spotless massive balcony which I love staff lovely and started upgrading kitchen and bathroom nice to see great hairdryer in bathroom as I have thick curly hair so saves weight in my case gradually upgrading the rooms will be back

This was my second visit here. I go here solo for sun and relaxation and that's exactly what I get. I've been to Puerto Rico many times and stayed in a few different hotels as well as the Altair, one of the sister hotels, which is situated further up the hill closer to the commercial centre which is also very good but the Cala Nova is much better for the uncovered huge balcony and minimal noise from the main centre, spectacular views, sun from 11.30am until 7-8pm! I can't understand why they don't have sunbeds on the balconies as there is AMPLE room for them! Location is perfect for both the shops and the beach. Walk along the beach front to the right and you will find the ferry to take you to mogán (€13 return) as well as some steps up to the cliff walk to amadores beach (both a must to visit) If you struggle with walking up hills there is an abundance of taxis to take you back to your hotel which is a minimum charge of €3.95 and this covers your journey from the beach. It's easy to walk down though. I find the beds very firm and the pillows could be better but everyone has their preference. The staff in reception are very friendly as are the cleaning staff also. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need for basic self catering and there's a shop at reception but very expensive, over €5 for a loaf of bread. There's a good Spar opposite the Mogan shopping centre (better shopping experience and some fantastic restaurants on the top floor) to stock up If need to. Although I didn't use the pool it's small with plenty of sunbeds which people do the ritual of laying down their towels, entertaining to watch. I'll be visiting again this year as this is now my happy place. See you soon Cala Nova and hopefully you will consider sunbeds on the balconies in the near future 🌞 thanks for a lovely holiday.

Apartment providing everything we needed great Internet lots of English TV for when you have had enough going out and want to relax Staff amazing cleaning is of a very high standard the only thing is the hotel bar and food are rather expensive compared to most places but having a great time and have booked again for next year
