Apartamentos Babalu

Been going here nearly every year since 1999, great for families and the pool bar is now not as good as it used to be when Juan and Geraldo ran it was fantastic, three pools and a shallow one for children, now has a modern elevator too, friendly staff always a.bonus

I don’t like bells and whistles, just clean, basic, friendly. Overall cleanliness is fine, don’t look too closely. The pool bar is closed, also fine when you want quiet and basic. What I didn’t appreciate was, my purfume being stollen by cleaning staff and the rudeness and lack of care from reception staff.

Home to Ireland 2 weeks now from Babalu Appartments, staff very friendly and helpful, Appartment very clean ,no AC which we knew in advance, could leave bedroom windows open for air ,disappoint package through Loveholidays advertised pool bar and restaurant, found out it never reopened after covid but still being advertised. Overall great location lovely holiday

5 lads on a jolly can’t fault these apartments cheap & cheerful cleaned to a high standard.didn’t know what to expect after reading some of the reviews must admit I was dreading staying there but wouldn’t hesitate in booking them again.what I would say is there sleeping on a gold mine if the on-site bar & snack area & shop was open but not a problem as the europa centre is a 2 minute walk from the apartments.sun loungers hard plastic very uncomfortable but with a lilo and towel they were fine.stayed there on Oct 3 /10.

Reception - Open 9am until 9pm, lovely staff, not much more to say. Pool area - Lovely, clean and inviting however, NO POOL BAR. It was stated on the Love Holidays website that, there was indeed, a pool bar. Superior Apartment (308) - The room was spotlessly clean, fresh and modern with a large balcony and amazing sea views. I am however, not sure which part of it was “superior” as I have seen the same, if not better elsewhere as a standard apartment and did not have to pay for extras like a sun lounger etc.. It did have a good, high pressure shower. This accommodation has ZERO facilities on site, no pool bar, no entertainment, no pool activities, very noisy, can hear everything from surrounding apartments. Especially as they are having a refurb in some of them. The on site shop is also closed and the vending machine for drinks is out of order! Super close to bars, restaurants and shops - great location. Given all that, I probably wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel for anything more than a 3 or 4 night stay, not unless you want a super boring experience. There is much better accommodation with better facilities in the surrounding area. You are required to pay a 100€ refundable deposit upon arrival.

What a lovely hotel to stay in had a great stay if you want a hotel with no evening entertainment then this is the place for you it’s got nice beds rooms are small and hot could us some aircon but otherwise ok nice views from balcony I would pay the €100 deposit by cash you will receive it straight away when you leave,lovely place my only con about the place is it is on top of a very steep hill after a day of walking around the last thing you want to do is hike up a hill but that doesn’t ruin it you can catch a taxi to top of the hill over all a great stay would definitely recommend it’s cheap self catering and great for families to stay here has a pool and park onsite
