Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive

For this trip, we traveled with friends. We were a little nervous about this trip as one of friends uses a wheelchair. Fortunately, we were given adjoining handicap rooms on the ground floor. We also had 2 excellent butlers, Rogerio and Gonzo. They bent over backwards to help us out and really elevated our experience. No request was too big or too small. We really appreciated the cart rides they provided as we could never have enjoyed all of the amenities without the two of them providing and/or arranging transportation. We traveled during the shoulder season so the resort was not at capacity. For us that meant no chair saving games at the pool! There were always seats available no matter what time of day. We did notice some gaps in service (housekeeping not coming until 4 PM, no turndown service a couple evenings, spotty waitstaff at Dolores) and suspect that staffing might have been a little light early in the week. Pools were decent. Some days we would have an awesome pool waiter (shoutout to Abraham!), some days there would be no one. As we experienced in our previous visit, there were several rude guests that felt the need to drown out the pool music with competing “personal “ music. There weren’t too many kids but it would be nice if Ventus Ha would consider making one side or the other for adults only. It would make for a much quieter and more relaxed experience for those adults looking for something calmer. El Cid and Ventus are already better suited for kids than Ventus Ha.

We had a beautiful 5-day family vacation at Ventus Ha. The butlers Ricardo, Freddy, and Indira made us feel like royalty, and Ricardo even decorated our room for our son's surprise graduation celebration. Candy from the Platinum Club was a huge help, and Veronica kept our room spotless. The only downside was the Wi-Fi policy. Only two devices were included for four guests. They wanted for an extra $60 charge for the rest. Aside from that, everything was great, and we look forward to returning.

We had our first stay at Ventus Ha and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The resort is beautiful, very clean, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. Big thanks to Juan Ramirez at Akkat restaurant for his outstanding service, Eduardo at El Alcázar, and ClaraLu our housekeeper, who kept everything spotless. At Kobo restaurant, Carlos did a great job with the presentation. It’s a nice experience if you enjoy a more interactive dining style. Just a heads-up: the whole dinner (including dessert) takes a little over an hour, and since the chef cooks the steak last, the other meats and veggies can get cold by the time you eat. We loved that Ventus Ha feels more peaceful and tranquil compared to the neighboring resorts, even though you can still use all their amenities. We also tried the aqua fit class—fun activity, though the pool water could have been cleaner and the floor less slippery. The main downside was the mattresses—very uncomfortable, and we woke up with lower back pain most mornings and also mildew smell in the room but after we complained they sent a humidifier right away to try to easy the problem. Also, while nearly all the staff were fantastic, the service at the Sea Place inside Dolores was the only negative interaction we had. Would we go back? Yes, for sure. Next time we’ll just skip Sea Place and request a room with a better mattress.

We are currently staying at this resort and everything has been wonderful so far. I especially want to mention Gonzalo and Roger, who have both been incredibly kind, attentive, and professional during our stay. Thanks to their support, our vacation has already been much more enjoyable and comfortable. They truly go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

Gonzo and Roger are very attentive to our needs. They’re always available when you need them. Very helpful and friendly, always providing us with information of the day to day activities.
