The staff is absolutely splendid, courtesy, helpful, and willing. The food, however tasteless and left us with much to be desired.
The bar in the lobby has the best mixologist so far

We stayed 8 days. The hotel is clean, quiet and beautiful. The walk into town is only 10-15min away, and by the time we returned on the beach side, we had walked almost 2miles, so a great morning walk. The sargasso is on the sand and in the water, but the week we were there, it was a small amount, and everyday there are workers clearing it out. The water is more brown in the areas where the sargasso is floating (almost like tea leaves sitting in water). The first 5-6 days the sargasso odor was very minimal, and only noticed (temporarily) if we sat on the beach. However, the resort sits next to a large dumpster that the sargasso is placed into, and by day 7-8, with the sun beaming on the dumpster, the smell was overwhelming, even noticeable on the street side of the hotel. By then though, we were heading back home. Otherwise the hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway, with a beautiful rooftop area. Every employee was friendly & helpful. Shout out to Yoe, Vini, and Luis at morning breakfast.

We visited the resort in August for our anniversary. We've been 3 times in the past, so obviously this is one of our favorite destinations. Weather was perfect the 7 days we were there. This is a very relaxing, no frills type of place. Pros : the view, the rooftop pools, each room is a suite, and the staff (especially Maria the ambassador) went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Cons : the seaweed! We could not enjoy the beach even one day because of how dirty the waters were. Everyone told us this was seasonal, and the worst they have ever seen. I truly hope that's the case. Outside of that it was another memorable week in Puerto Morelos.

I brought my family here for a couple of nights, and we absolutely loved the experience. The resort has a boutique feel with an upscale touch. Unlike many larger resorts, it never felt overcrowded, which made our stay even more relaxing. Our room was spacious with an unobstructed view, even with a city view, it was still amazing. While there's no buffet, the food at the on-site restaurants was excellent. I especially enjoyed the rooftop restaurant, where we caught a beautiful sunset, definitely a highlight of our trip. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Eli at reception, as well as Elvis and Chef Coxin at the RoMarley restaurant—they made our stay extra memorable. We’d love to come back someday!

Siamo una coppia italiana e abbiamo trascorso 11 giorni indimenticabili al The Fives Oceanfront di Puerto Morelos ad agosto 2025. Ci è stata assegnata Valeria come personal ambassador e la sua disponibilità nel consigliarci le migliori attività da fare ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale. Ogni mattina iniziava con una calorosa accoglienza da parte di Yoe (Joy) al RoMarley Beach House, sempre solare e pronta a strapparci un sorriso. Una volta seduti, Veni ci coccolava con attenzione, soddisfacendo anche richieste fuori menù. Un risveglio davvero meraviglioso. Il responsabile della ristorazione, Michele, italiano, ci ha sorpresi con quattro diverse varianti di tacos su nostra richiesta, tutte squisite. La cura nei dettagli, l’eccellenza delle materie prime e il calore del servizio hanno trasformato ogni pranzo in un momento da ricordare. Le nostre serate si sono alternate tra il ristorante italiano Al Mare e il Kiin Rooftop. Al Mare ci ha accolti Marina con eleganza e il servizio attento di Javier ha reso ogni cena speciale. Solo alla fine abbiamo scoperto le sue origini italiane, un dettaglio che ha reso le nostre serate ancora più piacevoli. Le nostre cinque serate al Kiin Rooftop sono state sorprendenti. Mai avremmo pensato di gustare un sushi così buono a Puerto Morelos! Ingredienti freschissimi, piatti impiattati con cura e un servizio impeccabile. Antonio, proattivo e comunicativo, ha sempre saputo rendere ogni serata memorabile. Lasciamo un pezzo di cuore, ma torneremo sicuramente. In spiaggia abbiamo sempre trovato ombrelloni e lettini in prima fila, perfettamente disponibili. Luis ha elevato l’esperienza con i suoi drink impeccabili serviti direttamente sotto l’ombrellone, un dettaglio semplice ma che trasforma il relax in puro comfort. Il “All Senses Inclusive” è davvero un plus: si può ordinare alla carta in tutti e tre i ristoranti, ognuno con la propria identità, senza limiti, con cucina di alta qualità. Questo rende l’esperienza gastronomica libera, varia e appagante, senza la monotonia tipica dei buffet. The Fives Oceanfront Puerto Morelos ci ha regalato una vacanza indimenticabile. Raramente ci è capitato di trovare un mix così riuscito di ospitalità, bellezza e ristorazione d’eccellenza. Torneremo sicuramente e consigliamo questo angolo di paradiso a chiunque cerchi una vera esperienza 5 stelle con il cuore.

My wife & I went to The Fives in Puerto Morelos, MX in May of 2025 and had a great time. The property is beautiful and the service was excellent. From entering the building through check-in, the lobby, interior/exterior, the property is fantastic. We had a side / partial ocean view and iot was great, the balcony is large & gave great views. We used the spa and the facilities / staff were awesome. The restaurants, Romarley & the rooftop Asian/sushi spot were great. Bartenders were very attentive. The beach access & beach were very nice, there was some sargassum but the staff kept the beach pretty clean. The shade from the building is awesome in the summer sun in the afternoon but that allows you full sun or shade based on what you want. The only negatives was that the Italian restaurant is only open a few days of the week and we missed that, it is apparently very good. A 3rd dining option would be good to be open each day. The proximity to downtown Puerto Morelos is about a 10 minute walk, either down the beach or on the sidewalk, it was very safe & no issues. Downtown PM offers a wide variety of restaurants / live music options that is very close. We also upgraded our membership & want to shout out to Ari who was awesome through the process & follow up since we left. We will be going back for sure !

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Fives Oceanfront! We enjoyed the intimate, quieter space, the boutique resort offered. The views were stunning and relaxing. The food was delicious and the room spacious as well as comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for us. Shoutout to Elvis, Hair, Gabriel and Abraham who were our waiters for our meals. Always offering a smile and wonderful wait service. Yoe, who was our hostess for multiple restaurant visits, was always laughing and cracking jokes. Gustavo literally resetting our mind, body and soul with his amazing yoga class. And Eli, our front desk concierge for being so courteous with accommodating our requests. Really loved the virtual assistant they facilitate. A simple text, and dinner reservations would be made along with any other requests. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a low key, island time vibe vacation!
