Courtyard Puerto Montt

We missed our flight from Puerto Montt so this hotel was very convenient for us

With lowered expectations, one could stay here. This place may be under a change of management, so a future visit might be better. There were a few hightlights before the list of nyegatives. Their Pulp Fiction hamburger was excellent, as was their take on lemonade. The use of wood as the central theme in the hotel was a pleasant alternative to the usually sterile interiors of most big box hotels. Hard to identify hotel: The hotel had no sign outside. This is why I believe it is changing hands. In the parking lot, we found the remains of the sign. Parking lot: hard to find the entrance, poorly lit. The directions to the elevator were non-existant. We ended up using a service elevator which brought us to the service area on one of the floors. We finally located a door and ended up in a suite of the hotel's management offices. The offices were closed, but there was one person left chatting on the phone who saw us roaming around, but did nothing to assist us. Room: all the furniture and decor showed some wear and tear. The toilet seat was disintergrating underneath--yuck. The shower head was ancient and was also disintegrating which meant that the water sprayed in all directions, including the floor. Breakfast: cold room, cold eggs, non-working toaster.

Well furnished rooms, views from higher floors No issues checking in after midnight or getting a taxi to the airport early in the morning. Rooms are similar to what you might get at an airport hotel in the states except that the furniture is higher quality and there's a coffee pod machine. Simple continental breakfast provided, roads around the property can be noisy as locals regularly use their horns, fairly steep hill between the hotel and town centre. Room included mini-fridge and water bottles. Felt more coffee pods could have been provided on a daily basis and the pod machines could have been better (need to tilt the cups to get them under the nozzel). Generally quiet but there can be noise from other guests. Main issues with the room were the lower floors don't have the city / coastal views advertised and they're very dark in the evenings (insufficient lighting). Good wifi, very helpful front desk staff.
