Si estás buscando un lugar con buena vibra, excelente ubicación y gente increíble, Straw Hat es el lugar. Vine con mis amigos y desde el primer momento nos sentimos como en familia. El ambiente es súper relajado, ideal para conocer viajeros de todo el mundo y disfrutar de Puerto Escondido como se debe. Lo que hace especial a este lugar es el staff: más que personal del hotel, (Paula, la Capi, es una chingona!! ) siempre están al tiro con recomendaciones, buena onda y creando un ambiente donde todos se sienten bienvenidos. Las noches suelen terminar con risas, música y buenos tragos. Las habitaciones son cómodas, limpias y con ese toque rústico playero que te recuerda que estás en un paraíso. Además, estás a pasos de la playa y cerca de todo lo que necesitas: comida, bares, y surf. Recomendado 100% si buscas más que solo un hospedaje. Straw Hat es una experiencia. ¡Volveremos sin duda!

La Capi Paula es mejor admin que he visto en mi vida. Manejó de manera increíble y con calma el devastador huracán erick. Para mí uno de los mejores hosteles en los que he estado, el staff maravilloso y muy agradable todo!!!

This is a brilliant hostel and I had a great time there.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were also very good at helping to get the party started. They organise events each evening at the hostel bar, and they also provide offers and recommendations for other places.
Bad points: The kitchen lacks A LOT of things. E.g. it didn't have bowls or anywhere near enough cutlery for the number of guests that were staying (and this was in low season).
Also, the music starts at 10am and doesn't stop till 11pm when the bar closes.
The choice of music was mostly excellent, but I heard some terrible music here too (e.g. annoying fidget house music), so that is something for them to think about.

This was our favorite hostel in puerto Escondido, all the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great vibes at all times, good party scene. They take you to lots of clubs and bars. You can rent scooters, book all kinds of tours. Staff had great food recommendations, all the rooms are very clean, we stayed in a dorm for 6 nights it was great. When we first got her we only had 2 nights booked, went to another hostel and ended up coming back for the rest of our trip. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a social hostel near the beach. Great location, many places to get food, drinks, and just to shop near by. You also must go to comedor Vicky’s, a restaurant just a minute walk up the road. Great food! Big portions, great service. We went there almost everyday! Julio is the best….

Excelente ambiente y vibra por parte del staff, instalaciones increibles, alberca grande, recomiendo totalmente hospedarse para pasar unas buenas vacaciones.
Solo NO PIDAN COMIDA en el hostal es malisima, es el unico punto negativo de mi estancia.
