I really had to think twice to write this review, I wanna be credible. What you are about to hear is true, I am a real guest and don't get paid by anyone to do it. This is a very clean hotel with nice and spacious rooms, ocean view and very competent and friendly staff. The hotel is quiet and kind of luxery but restaurants, shops everything you need is right here. They really go beyond their means to make your holiday special. A home away from home...well, even better.

This hotel is really lovely and we have just had a 5 night stay. Myself, husband and 15yr old daughter wanted somewhere not too busy as our daughter has Autism and doesn't like busy places. This hotel is so tranquil and peacful, it was perfect for us. Yes the hill is really steep but shortish. We got a lovely warm welcome from a young guy on reception and all the staff were nice. We were lucky and were given a poolside room, not pool view but our front door was poolside. The rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and the aircon worked well. We only had food from the pool bar, it was nice and prices were reasonable. Cheese pizza €8.50. Sangria was lovely. We loved sitting at the pool bar having a drink. If you wanted a sunbed with unberella you did need to be out by 8:30 am. There is a supermarket just opposite called Albertros, that have a fresh bakery section. It's our first time to this resort and we all loved it, lots of lovely bars & restaurants

Not enough beds at the pool Staff not friendly to us For the money we paid wasn’t worth it Bar closes at 8 and pool Closes at 6 we were told when we arrived. No pool toys ( ie .rubber rings , inflatables , but some people can throw a ball from one end of the pool to the other.. breakfast was a joke had to eat out a few mornings which defeats the point of b&b….. wouldn’t recommend this hotel recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed.

What can I say about this hotel. It was actually amazing,staff and manager was exceptional. The food from the restaurant was really good. We had this holiday as a honeymoon present as we were not going to have one with getting house done. I'm really glad they chose here for us all I can say amazing. The cleaners were amazing all friendly all staff were friendly. We came back Saturday and all ready booked for next year but for two weeks. Thank you for making our holiday .

Found the facilities of the aparthotel excellent and pool area very good. However, there are some serious issues that need to be resolved. First of all, on arrival we found the receptionist that greeted us extremely unpleasant, ignorant and frankly stand-off ish. She didn’t smile once during the exchange, no welcome, just making rude comments about our accent (Irish). This same staff member which I normally wouldn’t name but I feel is necessary as she is the reason I would not return is “Soledad”. On several occasions I found her rude and unwelcoming. She also looks at you entering and leaving the hotel as if you are a criminal, watching what we were doing and where we were going. NOT how you expect to be treated at a 4 star hotel. We had stayed here for a few days after coming from another 4 star hotel in Puerto del Carmen just to see what it’s like to stay at this side of town, but having been treated the way we were by this staff member we will not be returning. If I heard this staff member was no longer front of house, I would return. Having read other reviews I have seen others discuss this same female staff member without naming so we are not the only ones. Other issues included the very sparse cleaning arrangement which is every 3 days. The hotel does provide you with towels before this interval if you request and we were given these towels with no problem by a different receptionist who was very nice. Found the other staff and lifeguard very nice people. Pool area immaculate and you need to be down very early around 8am to get a bed. If you don’t stay on the bed your towels WILL be taken away so don’t go off for a few hours expecting your towels to be still there. Food at the bar was very nice. Overall, great location, nice hotel but this staff member left a sour taste in our mouths. One other thing to mention is that if you are trying to book a taxi for the airport through reception - DON’T as there is no sense of urgency at all and you will be left standing there with the suitcases and the flight will be gone as they don’t grasp the time sensitive nature of this. They will not chase it up as was the case with us. You are literally begging them to find out where the taxi is. Ours were half hour late having been booked the night before - now I know this maybe outside of the control of the hotel but they didn’t seem to care that they weren’t outside and when we asked them to ring the taxi company again they weren’t interested.

Utterly fabulous! This is our 5th time staying in Kontiki & the standards remain 5star all round! The staff just couldn't be more welcoming and friendly, we even had fresh fruit & a bottle of gorgeous cava waiting for us in our apartment when we arrived. The apartments are beautiful, everything you could need, so clean & spacious, ours overlooked the pool which is simply class & calm! There are always beds available either by the pool or sun lounge area. The hotel is so central to all amenities, & we love the challenge of 'cardiac hill' on way home from indulging of an evening in the many restaurants to choose from. Kontiki is our 'piece of holiday heaven'. Genuine thanks to all the staff who work so hard & are always so professional. We have a few more days to look forward to, we intend to enjoy every second & cannot recommend it highly enough.
