The worst place i have stayed at in PDC - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! -Cockroaches in the fridge, cupboards, and droppings in the cupboards - leaking toilet - leaking sink - mold in the shower - building work right outside our apartment door - Never offered the option to move despite the cockroaches, leaks and building work. After only being in our apartment for a couple of hours once we has arrived, heavy drilling, and building work began, right outside our door, and continued all day, every day from 8am/9am until sometimes as late at 7pm/8pm. We were not made aware that this was going to happen, nor did anyone make any effort to apologise and explain that it was necessary work that was unavoidable, at the very least once the work commenced someone should have spoken to us to explain and apologise, this did not happen. When I complained about the noise, it was not taken seriously by the reception staff, who shrugged her shoulders and laughed, saying it couldn't be helped. We were never offered an apology, or the opportunity to move to another room. Throughout our stay we were repeatedly having to catch and release cockroaches all day, and during the evening. I have stayed in Lanzarote many times, and have never had this level of issue with cockroaches. Then they started appearing in the cupboards and there were several in the fridge! which was downright disgusting. I complained about this, and again reception did not care, shrugged her shoulders and offered a meek apology, again whilst laughing. Upon checking out, I reiterated my complaints, and was told 'the cleaner checked the apartment thoroughly for cockroaches'. She did not, we were in the apartment when the cleaner finally arrived, she made no effort to perform the checks that were alleged. I also added that in addition to these issues, the shower is full of mold that has been painted over, the toilet leaks constantly at the rear of the cistern, we were constantly needing to clean the toilet water up, and the sink leaks from the back too, which we also needed to keep cleaning up.
