Arrived at midday and as expected our room wasn't ready. After phoning housekeeping on our behalf, reception informed us that it would be available at 3pm and we would get a phone call. After wandering around for a few hours, 3pm came and went, so we headed back to reception to be once again told it wasn't ready. We waited in the foyer area for 30 minutes watching guests arrive for check in and receive their room keys. After again questioning if our room was ready we finally got our key. The hotel promoted itself as having a gym, but we were told it was drying out and would be available in 3 to 4 days. On day six my son was walking down to the gym only to be shouted at by reception staff in front of other customers, with the staff member yelling out that it was closed. Not the best customer service. The swimming pool is much smaller than it looks on the photos and despite being told that a)It didn't open until 10am and b)That loungers left unattended would have their towels removed, all longers were occupied with towels by 9am and 50% of them remained unused until the afternoon with nothing removed from them. The apartments need a complete revamp, are very dated and the sofa bed is falling apart. The shower doesn't have sufficient protection and water leaks out all over the bathroom floor. We appreciate that this property isn't advertised as 5*, but it costs nothing to provide good, honest and accurate customer service. Very disappointed as a few small improvements in staff training and facilities could have made a huge difference.
