Ignore bad reviews! Especially the Nov ones who gave this fab wee place poor scores because they got into arguments with other guests over water fights … jeezo!
I stayed in the smaller complex.
10-15 mins from airport (€18 taxi)
Yeah it is dated but it was really clean and had everything you need for a self catering trip. Cleaners were round every 2nd day with fresh towels.
It was a 3 minute walk to the sea front and a 6-7minute walk to Long Beach.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Handy wee supermarket across the road. The smaller complex pool was clean and sheltered from the wind. The larger pool at the bigger complex was clean too (yeah the odd leaf blows in as the moaners from other reviews stated) and it was more open and windy but a nice area to sit.
The on-site restaurant staff were nice too and the food was fine considering the cheap prices. I ate there twice and enjoyed the steak, wings, baked potatoes and toasties.
Not 5 star but you aren’t paying for 5 star.
I would stay here again.

Been coming here 4 times a year for the last 10 years. Asked for a ground floor room as we have trouble accessing the stairs. Stuck us on the top floor and said the complex was fully booked. Absolute bollocks ! Loads of ground floor apartments available and unoccupied, apparently they sold out to the big holiday companies and can’t fill the rooms. Such a shame because we really loved the place but definitely won’t be coming back . So much for loyalty !

Booked for a last minute solo mini break in Lanzarote, so not sure what I was signing up for. I booked purely on the bases of price, availability and TA reviews. Acuario Sol is really well located about 10 minute walk down hill to the sea front, its a split site, so that's probaly something to bear in mind - the smaller site has a little pool and the reception, the larger site has the bar / cafe, larger pool and lots more rooms (just over the road). The whole place is spotlessly clean, my room was cleaned every other day. It was well appointed with a little lounge with UK TV, a well equipped kitchenette, decent size bathroom and twin beds in the bedroom. Tradtional spanish decor adds to the charm. Its a very quiet peaceful place including poolside, there is no music on and i believe that inflatables arent allowed in the pools - which may not be to everyones taste. (i just put my ear pods in lol) The staff are great, very friendly and helpful - always smiling! Now for the few gripes that i had... I did book knowing that the rooms don't have AC but it was extremely warm on my stay so a fan in the room might be a nice idea? I also had problems with the WiFi, with a finniky sign in process, signal drop out and slow speeds. These minor niggles would not put me off going to stay again - give it a go.

We had a 10 night stay and they didn't change our sheets once. The cleaners come round every 2 days, they change the towels and wipe a dirty mop around the floors. The apartments need a good update. No air conditioning in apartments, bedroom windows no bars so have to keep them closed at night.

The apartments are clean and very comfortable. Walls are paper thin but that didn’t spoil our stay. Staff are so friendly! Bar is very reasonably priced. Happy hour 5-7 €1.50 for a lager. Food very nice too! We found it a lovely and quite complex and felt safe, pool area very clean. No balls or floaters allowed but that didn’t affect us. Plenty of sunbeds we never couldn’t get one. Lifeguard is lovely and always cleaning beds after you have left. Only a ten min walk to the front where there is loads of bars/restaurants!

Fantastic resort for a quiet relaxing holiday very clean and super friendly staff and a great atmosphere A big thank you to Tina and family who run the pool bar excellent food and drinks and always a smile and nothing is to much trouble definitely returning in the near future 🍻

We had a lovely stay in this hotel on the ground floor (which we requested as our mobility isn't great) We found the pool freezing and not pleasant to swim in but saying that there were several children who were in the pool for hours having fun. The pool bar is excellent, with a variety of different meals and drinks, all at reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was one problem we had difficulty with was the safe. It was positioned in the corner of the cupboard on its side and opened towards you. We both found it difficult to put anything into it as you had to bend down to open it.

I didn’t know the hotel was built over two sites, one much older with views of other back yards. We had to cross two roads to get to the pool and restaurant which wasn’t explained on any website. The location was great, close to the bars and restaurants but the accommodation was poor on our site.
