Very nice staff at the hotel and generally a good location and only 10 minutes to the center.
The kitchen could perhaps offer a little more, but it is definitely enough. I will come again.

La gente que exige un hotel de cinco estrellas por el precio de una pensión me pone tenso. Es calidad-precio. Obvio no quita la suciedad que puede aparecer si ruedas las camas, pero el personal amable. El pasillo falla algún que otro sensor de luz. Pero lo dicho, calidad precio 🤣

An extremely happy stay at the Pez Azul for a very reasonable price. Room cleaned every day, blackout blinds in room for a good sleep, fridge/freezer to store food. Staff at front desk were very helpful and nice. The food and drink prices at the pool were reasonable. We were in room 202 it was clean and not noisy. Location was good much better than where we stayed previously in tenerife (further up the hill) . Would happily stay again in this accommodation.

Comida muy regular y mo de calidad. Durante nuestra estancia no estaba la piscina climatizada. Nos dijeron que estaba averiada, pero no nos dieron ninguna compensación. La habitación que nos dieron antigua y no muy limpia. Aunque están reformando algunos apartamentos, no recomiendo alquilar ninguno.

Cosa mi è piaciuto: la struttura, a mio parere è in un punto strategico se si vuole girare l'isola in auto. a circa un'ora hai tutto e il quartiere è ricco di locali e ristoranti. lato camera, grande e con lo stretto indispensabile. lato servizi la piscina è grande e pulita. Il parcheggio si trova abbastanza facilmente. cosa non mi è piaciuto: intanto la comodità dei letti. siamo una coppia ma i letti li hanno solo singoli. inoltre materasso e rete non erano proprio il massimo. lato pulizia rifacevano i letti e sistemavano la stanza ma senza pulirla o cambiando lenzuola. gli asciugamani li cambiano ogni 2 giorni. lato rumori purtroppo la maleducazione degli altri clienti non si può gestire ma far pulire le stanze dalle 9 del mattino è decisamente presto per chi è in vacanza. non dico che il mondo si debba fermare ma altre strutture partolo dalle 10 in poi. E purtroppo le camere (almeno dove stavamo noi), non era per niente insonorizzata. ultima nota, il wifi, non ha mai funzionato

Fortunately I only read the reviews after I had booked. Was a little concerned in view of some of the bad reviews, but in fact the Pez Azul is brilliant, especially in view of the price. The staff without exception are extremely friendly and helpful. I hadn't realized I'd booked a "low cost" single accommodation, but in fact my accommodation was very spacious with twin beds joined together. I was on the groundfloor and my terrace was surrounded by a garden with tropical plants (and I had view of the Teide). I experienced none of the problems mentioned in some of the negative reviews. The location is super, both for transport: the bus from the airport stops almost outside the Pez Azul . It's a pleasant walk down into town (a bit of a climb on the way back, but if you have walking difficulties, the taxis in Tenerife are very cheap). You can walk to the beautiful Taoro Park (via Calle Belgica it's shorter) and don't miss the "Jardin de las Orchideas" of Agatha Christie fame , which is a 5 minutes walk from the Pez Azul (Sitio Litre). Closes at 2 pm. What I appreciated most is that, unlike so many places in Spain and especially Tenerife, the Pez Azul doesn't play loud music . If, like me, you want peace and quiet, I would suggest ground-floor, away from the swimming pool. The weather in Puerto is nice all year round: although I went in October, I was able to have a swim in the outdoor pool (the weather was brilliant!) Re. the cockroaches mentioned by some: this is part and parcel of a tropical climate BUT here's the trick: keep the bath and bidet outlet plugged and put a few bayleaves in a small dish: bay is supposed to repel the critters. (The accommodation was clean and I didn't meet any insects!) As someone who previously lived in Puerto de la Cruz for several years and also stayed in hotels most of the year during my tour leader's career, I can honestly say that the Pez Azul is a great choice and gives more than good value for money.
