The accommodation impresses with its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location for hiking. Guests appreciate the diverse breakfast buffet and excellent facilities such as swimming pools, spa, and gym.

Rooms 118-127 are immediately above the very noisy kitchen. Search for these numbers and you will find Tripadvisor reviews going back to 2011. The hotel management have responded to these. They know about the problem and still assign these rooms to guests at full price. Expect to awake between 5 and 6 to the sound and vibrations of carts rolling on tiled floors, steel pans being banged around and other noises – and then the same routine from the afternoon until close to midnight. I measured over 60 decibels in my room, and the vibrations meant that even earplugs were insufficient. I'm not typically one to complain, and I've never asked a hotel to change my room before, but this time I did. I was told they were fully booked, but that someone would be in touch within two days... which never happened. Advised again on checkout and got an uncomfortable "sorry" followed by the bill. Again, they know and don't care. Advice to management: 1. Spend a night in one of these rooms so you understand what you're putting your guests through 2. Work to reduce and contain noise in the kitchen. Vinyl kitchen floors instead of tiles would cut down on vibrations from carts and absorb other noises better. 3. If the noise cannot be reduced to reasonable levels, stop offering these rooms at standard rates. At best, they could be used as courtesy rooms for late checkouts or discounted as substandard rooms for short stays. I'm sure it could have been a lovely stay as the hotel is beautiful in every other way, but if you lose the room lottery, it's a ruined holiday, and I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in every sense service food rooms ambience 5 star the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time . Excellent food quiet pool area lovely staff , beautiful location . 20 min walk into town or you can use the courtesy bus . Well done to all the hotel staff .
