Sol Puerto de La Cruz

Pool with only 7 umbrellas , if you have a dinner included the water is a payment, the door room is very old and broken, the bedroom style is very very old for 4 stars hotel , the food is good and the staff who works there are very kind ! ! I recommend the structure only for dinner and breakfast, it is inconceivable that during dinner if you do not buy water they cannot even leave you a bottle of water and therefore you are forced to continuously call the waiters to have tap water, truly absurd. The property is close to the sea and the city centre, restaurants / bars / markets all close to the hotel. To make the hotel perfect, the rooms should be upgraded to make them a little more modern, as they are currently stuck in the 90s style.

We came only for 5 days which is enough in this hotel . The rooms , especially bathrooms are very dated and could do with a lick of paint . Can’t use the pool until 11am also which is a joke . Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend

Hotel first impression very clean very modern until you get to your room very tired looking but clean but no fridge in room which I’ve never in counted to be far the views of the sea were lovely. We went half board as that was all that was offered to us other than bed and breakfast but after being there for a day realised they offer all inclusive but not to brits ? The food was ok good selection something different every night. But be aware drinks why you are eating are very expensive double the price of bars and restaurants in the area €2 for small bottle of water. The pool area was lovey clean and pretty again drinks very expensive round pool and cocktails very low standard not great. It’s about 15 walk to town were it’s very pretty and tranquil.In the area of the hotel it’s very rundown most bars and restaurants closed down graffiti everywhere that we could see. Staff were friendly enough but not very engaging.but be aware if you wish to go to the pool after breakfast say around 9ish you will be met with a very rude cleaner who decides to start mopping the exit/entrance and pool area and gets very angry with you for wanting to use the area Which happened most morning during our stay.
